Wintry Micro Wedding – Jody and Heather

Wintry Micro Wedding

Jody and Heather – December 30, 2023

Heather and Jody’s wintry micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a journey of love from Louisiana to the serene forest of our chapel. They chose a stunning black and red theme, with our lush red rose florals and the winter tree package adorning the chapel.
Heather was a vision in her exquisite spaghetti strap black dress, a bold and elegant choice that she paired with some super cute red shoes. Her bouquet, lovingly crafted by her mother, was a beautiful testament to their bond, with each rose adding to the day’s beauty.  Her mom’s excitement in decorating and making things special for her daughter was heartwarming. Jody looked dapper in his black suit, complemented by a striking red dress shirt, perfectly in sync with the wedding’s color scheme.
A touching moment unfolded as Heather’s son walked her down the aisle, the sounds of the forest adding to the ceremony’s natural ambience. He then proudly stood as her man of honor, while one of Jody’s sons took the role of best man, symbolizing the unity of their families.
The couple’s celebration featured a cake cutting and their first toast, marking the start of their new journey together.  Following this, we captured their love in couple photos, each shot echoing the joy and intimacy of their special day.
Heather and Jody’s wedding was not just a union of hearts but a blend of family, style, and the magic of winter. We wish them all the happiness as they start their life together.

From the Bride:

We lived by each other for 12 years and after so long we could not resist. Started seeing each other and built us a family out of love. On the 4th of July we decided to get together and pop fire works. Laying on the ground together watching the fire works and then it was history. I borrowed one two many cups of sugar and we wound up with Joseph! Jody proposal to me on Christmas, year 2007.

We love visiting Tennessee ever year on vacation and hope to maybe move there one day. So we decided an East Tennessee wedding would be perfect! This year for my 40th birthday he asked me what I wanted. I said three things; new couch, new car, and for us to go get married. Well I got a couch and a new car. Now I am getting married. So the date, 12/30, is significant to me because it’s right before the year ends!

For fun, we enjoy cookouts in the man cave, go racing at the track, hunting in Tullos. We have been through a lot but I am the happiest in my life and would not change it for anything in the world.
