Winter Micro Wedding – Nancy and Jacob

Heartfelt Winter Micro Wedding at Chapel in the Hollow

Nancy and Jacob – December 27, 2025

Winter weddings in the Smoky Mountains have a kind of magic all their own, and Nancy and Jacob’s winter micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was the perfect example of how intimate celebrations can feel both cozy and deeply meaningful. Surrounded by family, winter florals, and the quiet beauty of the East Tennessee woods, their December wedding day was filled with emotion, intention, and so much love.

A Cozy Winter Micro Wedding in the Smoky Mountains

Nancy and Jacob chose Chapel in the Hollow for its peaceful forest setting and stress-free micro wedding experience — an ideal option for couples dreaming of a Smoky Mountain winter wedding without the overwhelm of a large event. For their ceremony, the chapel was styled in rich burgundy fabric paired with our red berry winter florals and winter tree package. The result was a warm, festive atmosphere that felt perfectly suited for a December celebration tucked away in the woods.
Winter micro weddings allow couples to fully embrace the season, and Nancy and Jacob leaned into that beautifully. From the deep winter color palette to the thoughtful guest comforts, every detail reflected their desire to create a welcoming, heartfelt experience for everyone attending.

A Bride, a Groom, and a Family at the Center of It All

Nancy looked absolutely radiant in her long-sleeved champagne gown with layers of soft tulle — elegant, timeless, and perfect for a winter wedding. Her short heels added a sweet, practical touch for navigating the forest setting. One of the most touching moments of the morning was watching Nancy’s daughter help her get dressed, a quiet and emotional moment that set the tone for a family-centered day.
Jacob looked sharp in a classic black suit, but what made their ceremony truly unforgettable was the way their family was woven into every part of it. Jacob’s mom officiated the ceremony, adding a deeply personal layer to their vows. Jacob walked his mom down the aisle, while Nancy was escorted by her son. Her daughter walked alongside their youngest, and one of Jacob’s brothers stood by his side as best man.
There truly wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Both Nancy and Jacob were overcome with emotion during the ceremony, and their joy was contagious. It was one of those moments where you could feel just how right it was — two people surrounded by the people they love most, beginning a new chapter together.

Thoughtful Winter Touches for Guests

Always thinking of others, Nancy added some of the sweetest winter details for their guests. Hot cocoa packets and cozy blanket bundles were available to keep everyone warm — a simple but incredibly thoughtful touch that guests truly appreciated. These small details are part of what makes winter micro weddings so special: they create moments of comfort and connection that guests remember long after the day is over.

Smoky Mountain Portraits & A Joyful Celebration

After the ceremony, we captured family photos before letting guests enjoy cupcakes while Nancy and Jacob slipped away for couple portraits. The soft winter light in the open field, paired with the Smoky Mountains glowing in the distance, created a dreamy backdrop for their newlywed photos.
Despite being a December wedding, the day was surprisingly warm — one of those magical East Tennessee winter days that feels like a gift. Laughter, love, and quiet joy filled the air as Nancy and Jacob soaked in every moment of their wedding day.
