Weddings During Covid – Daushinay and Tyler

Daushinay and Tyler – September 26, 2020

Weddings During Covid

Weddings during covid can still make a big splash! We had some amazing weddings on September 26th!! Even though both of our brides used pumpkins to decorate, they made the chapel look very different. It’s always exciting to see what each couple comes up with. 🙂 Daushinay and Tyler were our first wedding today. She chose to use wine colors to set off our fall foliage, and her long sleeved dress looked sooooo pretty. They brought Mr. an Mrs. masks to grab a couple of pics of, and they looked adorable. Congratulations, Daushinay and Tyler!!
From the Bride:

Tyler and I met at our workplace in 2014. We both worked at Holiday World and Splashing Safari; it’s an amusement park in Southern Indiana. He was 14 and I was 15. We worked with each other for four seasons. The first three seasons, we were good friends/co-workers. I always admired Tyler’s work ethic and positive mindset. The last season, 2017, we were both promoted to a supervisor position. That year we became closer. We were scheduled many shifts together and we started hanging out and talking outside of work.

One day, Tyler and I are we’re discussing things on our bucket list. I told him that I really wanted to go zip lining. He told me there was a zip line course close to our work, and asked if I would want to go one day. Of course I said yes. After zip lining, we went out for lunch and walked the riverfront. We had a blast!
Tyler surprised me with a weekend trip to Gatlinburg for my birthday. I told him I wanted really cute pictures, since it was my first time in Gatlinburg. Tyler asked to borrow his parent’s tripod. Saturday March 9th, 2019 we drove near Clingmans Dome to take pictures he suggested doing a picture looking off into the mountains, and once I turned around he was bent one knee with a gorgeous ring. I said YES! He also recorded the whole thing. ???? We celebrated that night with a bottle of champagne and a dinner show, that Tyler’s parents got us.
Originally, we had planned to get married in our hometown. But planning a big wedding, put a lot of unnecessary stress on us. So Tyler and I broke the news to our extended families and friends, that we were eloping to the mountains with just parents, siblings, and grandparents. We were searching for venues in the Gatlinburg area, and we came across The Chapel in the Hollow. Ever since we have been in love with the venue.
I am most looking forward to the moment I am walking down the aisle and I see Tyler standing up there waiting for me, surrounded by our family. There is no significance to the date we chose, but we do love fall weather!
For fun, we love to hang out with our families, to walk the riverfront, binge watch tv shows and movies, oh and we love to eat!
