Wedding Chapels in Tennessee – Halyn and Ethan

Wedding Chapels in Tennessee

Of all the wedding chapels in Tennessee, Halyn and Ethan chose us for their wedding on February 28th. They came all the way from Alabama for our last wedding of the month. It was SO cold — little bits of iciness fell from the sky to give us an extra wintry feel — but Halyn and Ethan kept us all warm with the feel-goods from seeing them exchange their vows! This has to be one of the sweetest couples we’ve had on property, and they look so cute together — a big viking of a man with a tiny little woman.  Her mother came in as a force of nature and decorated everything beautifully. The long dress was lovely against the backdrop of the forest, and her hair and makeup by Southern Sirens was ????!! Congratulations Halyn and Ethan!! We hope to see you for your one year anniversary. ????

From the Bride:

We always saw each other around school, but we officially met and starting dating in our 8th grade math class. We were 13 and 14 years old, so we had to have our parents drive us around everywhere. We went on our first date to the movies one evening, and after the movie we ate at Olive Garden. It was a fun evening spent together.

For the proposal, I had been wanting to get our pictures taken together for Christmas, so my mom offered to take our pictures at Jackson Lake Island, and it just so happened to be Ethan’s birthday that day also. He agreed and he was excited the whole time (even though my mom was taking sooo many pictures) as daylight started to slowly go away, as we were fixing to finish up taking pictures Ethan grabbed at my hand and I turned around to surprisingly see that he was on one knee and asked me to marry him. Little did i know Ethan & my mom had this planned. The best surprise ever! I was just bawling, and Ethan even started to tear up also. It was the biggest surprise of my life especially since it was his birthday. But it will be a moment i won’t ever forget. It was so special to me!

We chose East Tennessee because we wanted to have a small, intimate wedding that was special to us and be able to have our closest family there. As we were looking up places to get married at, Chapel In the Hollow was recommended, and once we looked into it more, it was no going back! The most beautiful place at the prettiest location!

What we look forward to the most is being able to officially become one. We have been dating for 9 years starting at 13 and 14 years old, so being married finally is such a blessing to us.

We love being able to spend time together with our 2 dogs in our new home we just bought. And making new memories!
