Wedding Chapel in the Forest
You may remember Haley and Matt from some engagement photos a few months ago. They came back to us today for their celebration at our wedding chapel in the forest. Haley is excited that the weather has finally started to cool off, and she was rocking a gorgeous dress from The Gilded Gown. They looked great in their engagement pictures, and they definitely haven’t lost any of that chemistry. Congratulations, Haley and Matt!!
From the Bride:
We met our sophomore year, he had just moved here from Alabama. We immediately hit it off and just became really good friends and made sure we rode the bus together every day lol. We tried the whole dating thing but never really worked out because he ended up moving back to Alabama. We went on our separate ways until he ended up moving back our senior year.. we never really dated again because he ended up graduating early and going into the navy. So almost 2 years later he decided to message me wanting to go out and now here we are!
Well we hadn’t seen each other since before we graduated high school so it had been over at least 2 years since the last time we spoke.. he decided to randomly message me and ask me to go out with him. We went up to the Park Way Over Look, which is basically a big mountain view and just sat on his hood of the car and talked about every little thing. I’d say it was the most simple but best first date I’ve ever had.
We had just went down to Alabama for the weekend because his sister was having his first nephew.. the day she was going home we decided to visit his grandfathers grave with his mom, sister, brother and grandmother. He wanted to make it as special as he could and to make sure his grandfather was apart of it. So yes he proposed in a cemetery but it was the sweetest moment I had ever witnessed.
We chose East Tennessee because it’s home–the most beautiful place around! I’m most looking forward to walking down the aisle and seeing Matthews reaction and of course the moment we say I do and become one.
For fun, we like to go shooting, random road trips and hiking. Late night milkshake runs 😉
