Warm Weather Micro Wedding

Carissa and Josh joined us for a warm weather micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in navy and blush with our blush and bashful florals. Her dress was to die for!! I love the cold shoulder sleeves and the cutout back. He got so excited when he saw her! These two schoolteachers met because of his mom, and they are just so cute together. Congratulations, Carissa and Josh!

From the Bride:

We met at the first time at Denny’s where Carissa was meeting with Joshua’s mother to talk about lesson plans for the upcoming school year. Joshua escorted his mother to Denny’s. On his way there his mother told him, “Don’t stare at her ass.” We met at Panera to discuss whether we wanted to pursue a relationship. We talked for two hours and had our 1st kiss in the parking lot before leaving.

Joshua proposed. Joshua called all of our friends and family to involve them in each step on the day of the proposal. Joshua flew Carissa’s cousin/sister to California from Mississippi to also include her in the proposal. Joshua lied to Carissa and told her that they were going to his parents house, he left earlier than her with the kids and told her to meet him them there. When Carissa got to his parents, the only person there was his dad who was waiting with a rose and note from Joshua. Once Joshua’s dad read the note he took Carissa to another person/place that was significant in their relationship. Each person had a different note from Joshua. The last person she saw before him was her cousin/sister who he had flown in from Mississippi. Carissa’s cousin drove Carissa to the site of our family pictures where Joshua was waiting with all of the friends and family that had been involved along the way. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. We chose East Tennessee because we wanted to enjoy a family vacation and get married in a beautiful place. We are most looking forward to becoming a family. We like to play board games with our family, hike, and attend Giant’s baseball games.
