Vibrant Fall Wedding
Emma and Donovan – November 7, 2024
From the Bride
We met at work while I was in college in his hometown. We don’t really have a true first date, but we consider the day we spent all day in the car driving around up to Chicago to pick up his friend flying back from the Navy as our “first date”. We shared different types of music and songs that we liked with each other, picked up some pizza and drove around the city killing time waiting for the flights to get in. He wouldn’t let his friend, who just got off an international flight and is over 6ft tall, sit in the front with him. Instead he kept me up front when I am 5ft tall and take up much less space but he wanted me up there instead.
We were on a hike in the Rocky Mountains and it was a bit slippery with the snow and ice and there were a few times when we almost fell. At one point I was in front of him and I heard him fall behind me, and when I turned around he was down on one knee with the ring out. So he had pretended to fall behind me just to get me to turn around at the perfect moment.
We loved the idea of going back out to the mountains for the ceremony with our immediate family and close friends. Tennessee is an easy drive for us and after a lucky google search I found you. On our wedding day I am looking forward to getting ready with my mom and best friend with me and seeing each other for the first time when I walk down the aisle. The number 7 repeats itself a lot for us, his birthday is the 7th and mine is the 27th and our anniversary is on a 7th. We thought it was fitting to have our wedding on a 7th as well.
We love watching movies together, in theaters and at home. And when we have our friends over we always pull out card games to play.
