Tennessee Forest Elopement – Beth and Scott

Tennessee Forest Elopement
at Chapel in the Hollow

Beth and Scott – July 21, 2026

Some love stories deserve a grand celebration, while others begin with a beautifully kept secret. Beth and Scott chose the latter, exchanging heartfelt vows during an intimate Tennessee forest elopement at Chapel in the Hollow before sharing the exciting news with their friends and family. Their wedding day was filled with quiet joy, meaningful moments, and the peaceful beauty of the East Tennessee forest, proving that sometimes the most unforgettable weddings are the simplest ones.

Nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Chapel in the Hollow provided the perfect setting for their intimate celebration. Surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery, the couple transformed the outdoor chapel into a romantic woodland retreat with soft lilac and cream fabric paired with lavender florals. The dreamy color palette complemented the natural surroundings beautifully, creating an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere that reflected their personalities.

Beth looked stunning in a timeless spaghetti strap wedding gown paired with chunky heels and an elegant updo. Her classic bridal style was effortlessly romantic and perfectly suited for an outdoor ceremony. Scott looked equally handsome in a tailored gray suit accented with a lilac tie that coordinated perfectly with the chapel décor. Together, they created a sophisticated look that blended beautifully with the surrounding Tennessee forest.

Rather than following tradition, Beth and Scott chose to walk down the aisle together while “A Thousand Years” played, symbolizing that they were stepping into marriage as true partners. It was a simple yet incredibly meaningful decision that made the ceremony feel even more personal. As they exchanged vows beneath the trees, Beth became emotional, and every word reflected the deep love and commitment the two share. Those genuine moments are what make intimate elopements so unforgettable.

One of the sweetest parts of their day was the celebration they created afterward. Knowing they were keeping their marriage a surprise for family and friends, they brought personalized champagne flutes, champagne, and custom signs to decorate the celebration table. It was the perfect way to toast the beginning of their new adventure together while creating beautiful details for their wedding photos.

Following the ceremony, we explored the property to capture portraits and video throughout some of Chapel in the Hollow’s favorite locations. We photographed the newlyweds at the chapel before wandering beneath the charming archway. From there, we stopped by the iconic mossy tree and rustic log before making our way to one of the venue’s most breathtaking locations—the open field overlooking the Smoky Mountains.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Clover blanketed the field, creating a soft, romantic foreground while the mountains stretched across the horizon in the distance. The combination of vibrant greenery, blooming clover, and mountain views showcased exactly why so many couples choose a Tennessee forest elopement. Every backdrop offered something unique while remaining peaceful, private, and naturally beautiful.

One of the greatest advantages of eloping is the freedom to create a wedding day that reflects your relationship rather than outside expectations. Whether you choose to invite a few loved ones or celebrate with just the two of you, an intimate ceremony allows you to slow down, focus on one another, and truly experience every moment. Beth and Scott embraced that philosophy wholeheartedly, creating a wedding day centered on love instead of logistics.

For couples dreaming of an intimate outdoor wedding in the Smoky Mountains, Chapel in the Hollow offers an unforgettable experience surrounded by nature. From customizable décor and beautiful ceremony locations to breathtaking photography opportunities throughout the property, every detail is designed to help couples create a wedding day that feels authentically their own. Whether you’re planning a destination elopement, a micro wedding, or simply want a peaceful forest setting to exchange your vows, East Tennessee offers endless natural beauty in every season.

Congratulations again to Beth and Scott! It was such an honor to be part of your beautiful secret and witness the beginning of your next chapter together.
