Sweet November Forest Wedding
at Chapel in the Hollow
Tonya and Eric – November 29, 2025
There’s something extra magical about a November forest wedding at Chapel in the Hollow — the soft light, the quiet woods, and the lingering warmth of autumn colors make it one of the dreamiest times of year to say “I do.” For Tonya and Eric, that gentle, golden glow created the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, family, and heartfelt moments.
A Romantic November Setting in the Smoky Mountain Woods
Tonya and Eric chose our intimate, woodsy micro-wedding chapel nestled right on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains for their celebration. November weddings here often bring a peaceful mix of late-fall tones and tender mountain light, and their wedding showcased everything we love most about the season.
They dressed the chapel in classic white fabric paired with our blush and marsala florals and succulent wreaths — a combination that blended beautifully with the warm browns and soft greens of the forest. The result was a romantic, slightly rustic palette that stood out perfectly against the natural wood of the chapel and the misty November backdrop.

A Family-Centered Ceremony Filled with Heart
Tonya looked stunning in her sleeveless gown — simple, elegant, and glowing in the soft autumn light. Her daughters wore maroon dresses that tied the color palette together with the florals, adding the sweetest pop of richness to the overall look. Eric looked sharp in his grey suit, and the joy on his face as he watched his bride walk toward him was unmistakable.
One of the most touching moments of the day came when Tonya’s mom walked her down the aisle. Their girls proudly carried the rings, making the ceremony feel deeply personal and wonderfully family-centered — a true reflection of what micro weddings are all about.
Sweet, Simple Celebrations
Tonya and Eric brought a small cake to share with their family, and after the ceremony, everyone gathered around to enjoy a slice together. It was one of those simple, cozy moments that fits so beautifully with a November celebration — the kind that warms you up even on a chilly day.
Portraits in the Forest: November Light at Its Best
After the cake cutting, we explored the property for photos in some of our favorite spots:
-
🌿 The chapel, glowing softly beneath the white drape and marsala florals
-
🍁 The vines, with their tangle of texture and late-fall color
-
🌳 The mossy tree, always a favorite for couples who want a bit of fairy-tale forest charm
-
⛰️ The field, where November light turns hazy, golden, and utterly breathtaking
Even though the temperatures were brisk, the mountain light was absolutely beautiful — gentle and quiet, with that distinctive East Tennessee magic that makes November weddings unforgettable.
From the Bride
We met in college. We have been together over 20 years so I don’t really remember the first date details. Eric proposed. We chose East Tennessee for our wedding because it allowed us to have a small getaway and minimal planning. We are looking forward to sharing our day with our daughters.
