Spring Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding – Lyndsay and Nate

Lyndsay and Nate – April 13, 2023

Spring Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding

Lyndsay and Nate joined us for a spring Smoky Mountain micro wedding. They also used our sunflower florals, but gave it a totally different look with the white and gold fabric. She was in a stunning figure-hugging dress, and he looked extra sweet with his cowboy hat. His dad surprised him by bringing the car they restored together, a corvette, for Lyndsay and Nate to make their exit — so of course we got some great photos with it!! Congratulations, Lyndsay and Nate!
From the Bride:
Nate and I met at work. We actually met a few years before that but he got transferred to another dealership. When he came back to the dealership that I was at we started talking more. After a few weeks of getting to know each other we had out first date. Nate and I are actually from the same area in Ohio and actually grew up about 20 minutes from each other. So we both knew all of the good places to eat and our favorite little spots. Our first date was my favorite. We decided to make a spontaneous drive to Orlando (about 2 1/2 hours away from where we live) to go to this fast go-kart track. We spent hours laughing, racing, and getting to know each other more and more. I remembering smiling the whole time.
Nate proposed! When we started talking about our future there was only one thing that I wanted for our proposal. I wanted my niece and nephews to be there. They are very special to me. So we flew to Ohio to visit with them for a weekend and to also go to our big fair and demo derby that happens in our town. Nate’s parents were there for work and his brother flew in with us to all spend the weekend together. His parents had rented a cottage at Lake Milton (a little lake where everyone would go during the summer time) and it was a place that both him and I went to as kids growing up. On our second to last day there, his parents suggested that we go to this little pavilion on the lake to take some family photos. Not thinking anything of it, I just put on a little makeup and threw my hair up LOL. Once we got there, we took pictures of my niece and nephews, his parents, and then his dad said they needed one of Nate and I. We were standing here getting ready to take the picture and Nate dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. I immediately started crying because he is the man I prayed for.
He proposed with his Great Grandmothers Engagement ring which fit me perfectly. It was a gold solitaire with a yellow diamond (yellow is my favorite color). The whole thing was a dream come true!
We decided on an East Tennessee wedding because we both love Tennessee. I have been to Nashville a few times and to Gatlinburg. Our close family friend owns property in Seymour TN. So we usually go there a few times throughout the year for vacations. I actually came across the Chapel in the Hollow while browsing venues for a friend. Once I found out that it was only 15 minutes from our favorite vacation spot I knew it was where we wanted to get married. I am excited to be in our favorite state, in the woods, surrounded by our closest friends and family. I am looking forward to marrying the man of my dreams. I am excited about the small Chapel and the mountain photos.
For fun, we love to do things outdoors. We ride 4 wheelers, go shooting, take the boat out and go fishing.
