Snowy Winter Micro Wedding

Tia and Wesley joined us with their kiddos for a snowy winter micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in white with our red berry winter florals and the winter tree package. She looked SO cute in her red and white outfit, and he was very dapper in his suit jacket and hat. Congratulations, Tia and Wesley!

From the Bride:

I am the Director of Human Resources at a local community college. Wesley is a part-time instructor at the same college. He came into the office to turn in his contract for the semester. He spoke and I rushed by to my office. He thought I didn’t speak but he didn’t hear me when I did speak. When he left, my secretary came into my office and said she has found me someone to date. She said Wesley and I told her I could get behind it. My secretary then called another co-worker that is friends with Wesley. They setup the first phone call between the two of us and the rest is history.

For our first date, we were both very nervous. We both had been divorced for a few years and had not dated anyone since either of our divorces. Wesley asked me to dinner on a Tuesday night. We decided to go eat pizza and play Bingo. We stayed at the restaurant and talked for hours. We didn’t have any luck with Bingo but we enjoyed ourselves just laughing and talking. We realized we had a lot in common. Our kids like to joke that he took me to play Bingo for our first date. We have been inseparable since that date. On our second date we went fishing at the river. After getting my fishing line hung on everything I could find, I decided to sit down on a rock and watch Wesley fish. When he noticed I was sitting, he came and joined me. We sat on that rock and talked for hours. We have deemed that rock our rock and have been back a few times. Wesley proposed on October 29, 2022. On the day of the proposal, Wesley took me back to the rock for a picnic and asked me to be his wife. Of course, I said yes!

For fun, we like to do random Saturday road trips and always up for an adventure. We like to watch Hallmark movies together. Typical date night is dinner and relaxing on the couch on Tuesday nights when we don’t have any kids. Our kids are very active in school so a lot of our time is spent following the kids to their activities.
