Smoky Mountain Weddings for Two – Cortney and Andrew

Cortney and Andrew – May 27, 2020

Smoky Mountain Weddings for Two

Smoky Mountain weddings for two are on the upswing since COVID19 started making an appearance. Confession time–couple only weddings are some of my favorites–it gives me a chance to focus in on the couple, and I love that! These two brought their littles with them to make the day extra special. How amazing is it to be part of a day that brings a family closer together??

It was hot and muggy, and I looked a mess after the wedding. Thankfully, Cortney still looked fresh and gorgeous! She and Andrew joined us for a warm but lovely wedding, and we managed to finish up right as the first raindrops started to fall. I had so much fun getting to play in the creek with her two children, and I think you’re going to enjoy all the love in these photos!! Congratulations Cortney and Andrew!!

From the Bride:

Andrew is a police officer, and I am a corrections officer. We both work in the same county. Although we had never officially met, we knew who one another was from word of mouth. We began talking over social media, and after getting to know one another a little better, we decided to meet and hangout. The second we met, we talked like we had known each other our whole lives. We shared similar pasts and hopes for our future. We do not have a typical proposal story. Marriage just came up in conversation, and both of us agreed it was something we wanted. We had both had prior marriages which failed and decided we would do things differently this time. After getting the ring, Andrew did cook me a candlelit dinner and asked me officially. When deciding on a location, we wanted a small and intimate location. East Tennessee is home for both of us, so it only made sense to stay local.

I am excited to take in the entire thing. With this marriage, I am certain that I have found “the one” and I cannot wait to say “I do!” I think we are both looking forward to that “first look” at one another. I am also looking forward to my children seeing how much love I have for them and for Andrew. That’s why we chose an intimate elopement, so the entire thing could be about our little family.
