Smoky Mountain Wedding
Amanda and Anthony – August 13, 2023
Under the watchful embrace of the Smoky Mountains, Amanda and Anthony’s love story unfurled today in a real Smoky Mountain wedding at Chapel in the Hollow. The chapel adorned in soft blush fabric hosted their morning ceremony, complemented by the grace of blush and marsala florals, a delicate dance of colors celebrating their union.
Amanda radiated beauty in her gauzy dress, adorned with off-the-shoulder cap sleeves, and Anthony stood tall and dashing in his navy suit. Their attire spoke of a timeless elegance that echoed the surroundings of their special day. In the company of only their closest loved ones, their vows were exchanged, sealing a promise that echoed through the mountains. Amanda quoted lines from one of my favorite movies, Labyrinth, in her vows. “Through dangers untold, and hardships unnumbered…”
Following the ceremony, we whisked them away to various picturesque spots on our property, capturing moments of laughter, joy, and their undeniable bond. The fun-filled photos were a testament to their free spirits and the adventure that awaits them in their journey ahead.
Today, Amanda and Anthony’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love, but a testament to the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, shared quotes, and the magical bond between two souls. As the sun graced the day, it painted a picture of a forever marked by joy and authenticity.
From the Bride:
We met at a karaoke night at A Old Towne Beer Hall. We were both doing old school rap songs and were cheering each other on and giving each other high fives. He asked my friend and I to sit with him and his friend. I took my jacket off because I was hot and then felt self conscious and put it back on, he noticed and looked at me and said, “You look great without the jacket.” I knew then that he was not only good looking and funny, but also incredibly thoughtful. Then he asked me if I wanted to go dancing. We went and then I found out he was also an amazing dancer! That sealed the deal for me. We started talking almost every day and became inseparable. He fully embraced me and my four kids even though it was hard and messy. He is my best friend.
Anthony proposed to me during our favorite karaoke song. “Just a Friend” by Biz Markie. I do the rapping and he sings the chorus as loud and obnoxiously as possible. I finished rapping the first verse and turned around to look at him for his part and he was down on one knee holding a ring out. He had invited all of our friends to be there. I was so surprised and it was perfect.
We decided on an East Tennessee wedding because we have been coming to Gatlinburg for my birthday the past 2 years. Now we are getting married here on my birthday! I am looking forward to celebrating our love. An intimate ceremony with just our closest friends and the beautiful pictures.
For fun, we do Karaoke, watch movies and cuddle on the couch. We also go fishing (he loves to see me wading down the river or creek fishing!), do fun things with my kids, have cookouts at our house (he is a master griller!).
