Simple Tiny Wedding in the Smokies – Sabrina and James
A Sweet“I Do” in the Smoky Mountains
Simple Tiny Wedding
Sabrina and James – July 10, 2025
Sometimes, the most meaningful moments come in the smallest packages — and Sabrina and James’ simple tiny wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was pure magic. Tucked away in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, their day was filled with tears, joy, and the kind of love that makes your heart ache in the best way.
A Timeless Ceremony in Nature’s Chapel
Sabrina and James opted for a minimalist yet elegant aesthetic that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of our forest venue. They chose classic cream draping for the chapel and paired it with our white florals and candle package, creating an ethereal, romantic backdrop that glowed with soft light. It was the ideal setup for a tiny wedding that felt grand in emotion and intention.
Their wedding took place on a warm and humid East Tennessee afternoon — one of those iconic summer days where the air buzzes with the sound of cicadas and the scent of pine. But no amount of heat could overshadow the glow radiating from these two.
A Bride in Lace, A Groom in Jordans
Sabrina looked like she stepped out of a fairytale. She wore a stunning cap sleeve gown featuring an illusion keyhole back and a long train edged in delicate lace — elegant and dreamy. Her hair was styled to perfection, and her accessories included the biggest smile and eyes full of happy tears.
Her daughter and James’ daughter helped her get ready — a heartfelt moment that captured the beautiful blending of two families into one. The love in the bridal suite was so strong, it practically floated out the windows.
Meanwhile, James was all style with his own unique twist. He paired navy pants with a crisp white shirt, red tie, suspenders, and — in what might be our favorite touch — a pair of fresh Air Jordans. The look was equal parts dapper and daring, and totally him.
The Emotional Walk to Forever
Sabrina chose to walk herself down the aisle, and the music she selected —“Use Somebody” by Jac Ross — added just the right amount of soul to the moment. James may have planned to keep it cool, but the second he saw her at the archway, the tears came fast and fierce.
Their ceremony was deeply personal. They each wrote their own vows, filling the air with raw, emotional words that left not a single dry eye in the forest. Their children stood beside them, serving as their wedding party and making the ceremony a true celebration of blended family love.
Sweet Family Moments & Golden Hour Dreams
After their heartfelt ceremony, we captured family portraits at the chapel surrounded by soft light filtering through the trees. Then we stole away for some intimate couple portraits in the forest before they headed off to meet another photographer for a golden hour session — a perfect way to end a perfect day.
This wedding was proof that a tiny wedding can hold massive meaning. With just a few loved ones and the right setting, Sabrina and James created a moment that will echo in their hearts forever.
From the Bride
His grandmother and my grandmother were best friends and lived next door to each other. Once they both were more dependent I was down cutting her grass and he was helping his grandmother in her yard we saw each other for the first time in 20yrs. He asked me out we went that night. 2 weeks later we moved in together. Been together ever since!
He proposed on New Years Eve. We knew we wanted to get married in the mountains and East Tennessee was perfect. On our wedding I can’t wait to finally be married. It’s been a tough road we both fought with several life battles and both lost a parent in the same year. We chose this date on a whim.
We love to travel and take cruises.
