Sierra and William’s September mini wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a beautifully intimate celebration filled with personal touches that made their day uniquely special. The chapel was adorned in soft blush and cream fabrics, enhanced by our blush and bashful florals and the romantic glow from our candle package, setting a serene and heartfelt atmosphere.

Some of the most touching moments were Sierra’s first looks with her dad, William, and their baby—a poignant start to a day full of love and family connections. Sierra looked stunning in a sleeveless dress adorned with layers of tulle and delicate appliqué. A special elephant patch was sewn into the underside of her dress to represent her sister, who couldn’t attend as she is currently going through basic training, ensuring she was there in spirit.

William looked dapper in a grey suit, perfectly complementing Sierra’s elegant attire. The ceremony was deeply family-oriented: her dad not only walked her down the aisle but also carried her son, adding layers of family significance. Sierra’s niece and nephew proudly stood up with them, enhancing the family feel of their nuptials.

Adding to the emotional depth, Sierra’s sister sent a voice message that was played during the ceremony, allowing her to be part of the day despite the distance. Sierra and William also penned their own vows, sharing heartfelt promises that resonated deeply with all in attendance.

From the Bride

Both my husband and I are in recovery, when we both got sober and began working on ourselves God brought us together to learn and grow as a couple. We have both been sober from alcohol for three years now and we have a little boy who is 4 months old. We are very grateful he will never see us drinking. For our first date we went to play putt putt neither of us were any good and both of us were so nervous that both of us can not recall what we talked about.

I knew he was going to propose but I did not know when, my only rule was that my sister had to be there. She would have been his best man but she is in basic training for the army right now. We call her his second wife, I am honoring her by sewing a little elephant to my wedding dress. So we were all out at the lake which is something we do a lot and he pulled me aside and proposed and the first thing I did was scream and run to my sister. She will be so missed on the day of the wedding.

We decided to get married in East Tennessee because my dad found the chapel, he is such a big part in our lives. He has become a crucial part in helping raise our son. He is always there to help out and keep me calm during all life events including the wedding. On our wedding day my husbands side of the family will be meeting our son ( Christopher Kai) for the first time and so will my brother and his family. We are excited for everyone to meet him as well as being able to stand in front of God and vow to love each other. We decided to get married on the September 19th because I like the number 9.

For fun we enjoy escape rooms, and picking on our cat baby kitty she legit has no survival instincts and we are constantly chasing her around trying to keep her alive. My sister who I call sissy is my best friend and if this information is being shared anywhere I want people to know she is missing major life events to put her life on the line to become an American Solider and I am so unbelievably proud of her and I love her so much.
