Sentimental Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding – ChevelleAnne and Recie

A Sentimental Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding

ChevelleAnne and Recie – June 4, 2025

After years of love, laughter, and growing together, ChevelleAnne and Recie finally made it official with a heartfelt Smoky Mountain micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow — and trust us when we say, it was so worth the wait. Their wedding was filled with sweet moments, personal touches, and the kind of joyful, relaxed energy that makes micro weddings feel extra special.
Set in the lush green forest of East Tennessee, their day was a beautiful blend of sentiment, simplicity, and style — a true celebration of love and family that felt perfectly them from start to finish.
Lavender Dreams + Lantern Glow
For their chapel décor, ChevelleAnne and Recie chose lavender fabric and matching lavender florals, bringing a soft, romantic hue to the forest backdrop. They added our lantern lighting package, which gave their late afternoon ceremony a warm, cozy glow that felt like magic tucked between the trees.
The overall vibe was intimate and relaxed, with just the right touch of elegance — ideal for couples dreaming of a micro wedding in the Smoky Mountains that’s both low-key and meaningful.
A Bride with Personality and Style
ChevelleAnne radiated happiness in a short white dress from DB Studios at David’s Bridal, featuring delicate beaded straps and a rhinestone belt that added a dash of sparkle. But the detail we can’t stop talking about? Her blue Converse sneakers with her new name hand-lettered on the back.  Talk about bringing the fun!
Her handmade wildflower bouquet was bursting with vibrant colors and personality — the perfect DIY touch that tied her look together. She styled her own hair and makeup and looked radiant in every frame.
Her ring was a standout: a dreamy blue center stone surrounded by diamonds on a white gold band, while Recie’s steel gray Enso ring featured etched mountain peaks — a thoughtful nod to the East Tennessee mountains where they said “I do.”
A Family-Centered Ceremony
This wedding was all about family. ChevelleAnne got ready with her mom, sister, and best friends by her side. She shared a tearful first look with her dad in the bridal suite, a moment that had everyone misty-eyed.
Their daughter was the sweetest flower girl, and their son — the proud ring bearer — walked the aisle hand-in-hand with their nephew. Her dad paused just before the altar to give Recie the chance to turn and see his bride for the first time, and the look on Recie’s face said it all.
They exchanged traditional vows in a ceremony led by Officiant Ian Parrott, surrounded by their children and closest loved ones. And we have to give a huge shout-out to the group of kids at this wedding — they were the most well-behaved little guests we’ve ever had the pleasure of hosting!
Couple Portraits in the Forest
After family photos, we took ChevelleAnne and Recie across the property to capture their love in every beautiful corner of the forest. From the chapel and the vine-draped path to the mossy tree, gravel forest road, and bridal suite clearing, their portraits reflect the joy and authenticity of their wedding day.
Star Noir Studio captured the soft light, sweet glances, and mountain mist that made their wedding feel like a fairytale.
From the Bride
We met the summer of 2009 when Recie was on the same baseball team as my little brother. Our first date was hanging out with friends at the lake. Recie proposed when we were still teenagers at home plate on a baseball field.
Our little family made our first vacation to the Smoky Mountains in August 2021 and have been back many times since. It has become our favorite place to visit and explore. So when trying to decide where we get married it just made sense to do it in our families favorite place to spend time together. We’re excited to share our favorite place with all of the important people in our lives and for the mountains to hold the memories of our special day forever. This is a day we have talked about since we were teenagers but life has been in our way from making it happen. So I am most excited to see it all happen and get to live through what we’ve dreamed about for many years. No significance to the date specifically but we met in the month of June and got engaged as well. So it seemed like the month of June needed to hold our wedding date as well.
We’re big sports fans. We love going to sporting events together or just staying home to watch a game and relax. We also love going on adventures with our 2 children. Nothing makes us happier than when were getting to all do something as a family.
