Second Chance Wedding – Michelle and Jerry

Second Chance Wedding

Michelle and Jerry – September 7, 2024

Michelle and Jerry’s wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a celebration of second chances and timeless love, set against the beautiful backdrop of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They beautifully dressed the chapel in gold and textured rust fabric, creating a warm autumnal theme enhanced by vibrant sunflower florals and our cozy candle package.
Michelle looked stunning in a sleeveless dress adorned with intricate beading, her hair styled half-up to showcase her elegance. She carried an autumn bouquet that perfectly matched the season’s colors. Jerry kept it casual yet classy in jeans paired with a champagne dress shirt, reflecting the relaxed yet festive atmosphere of their day.
The ceremony was a family affair: Michelle’s daughter served as matron of honor, and Jerry’s friend as best man. The grandchildren added a touch of charm, with the flower girl scattering yellow rosebuds from her poufy tulle dress and the young ring bearer carrying the rings with pride. Michelle’s son had the honor of walking her down the aisle to an eagerly waiting Jerry, showcasing the strong family bonds they both cherish.
After exchanging vows filled with joy and anticipation, the couple shared wedding-themed cookies personalized with their details, a sweet treat for their guests. The celebration continued with lots of family photos, capturing moments of laughter and love, followed by a romantic photo session in the field with a breathtaking mountain view, making the most of the beautiful outdoor setting.
Michelle and Jerry’s journey is a beautiful reminder that love can find its way back, even from the days of high school to the time after their children grew up. Congratulations, Michelle and Jerry! May your second chance at love be as enduring and joyful as your celebration.
From the Bride
We were close friends in high school. We would visit & grill out together through the years. Our lives went different ways & then years later after our kids grew up we reconnected. He’d come to visit me after I bought my home & I hated to see him leave. I’d always wondered what it would be like if we were a couple. God brought us together, he knew we were just right together! Our first date was unconventional he texted me while I was at work. He asked me if he made reservations for Gatlinburg for New Years would I go with him! Well, that was a big easy YES! What a fun spontaneous trip!
Our proposal story is comical I was frying squash & Jerry was looking for a photo on his phone to show his son. He thought I saw a picture of my ring on his phone. I thought it was a piece of wire on his hand from work. He disappeared & came back into the kitchen & got on one knee & asked me to marry him. It had to be the fried squash.
We decide to get married in East Tennessee because we love The Smoky Mountains! It is THE perfect place for our beautiful day.We are so excited to spend our lives together! We are so anxious to go on our biggest adventure yet to the Grand Canyon on our Honeymoon. We decided to get married on September 7th because it is my birthday.
For fun we go on adventures! We love to take long trips to the Smoky Mountains, Day trips or beach trips. We look forward to camping next year with our grandkids.
