Rustic Country Wedding – Julie and Chuck

Julie and Chuck – May 15, 2021

Rustic Country Wedding

Julie and Chuck were our final rustic country wedding of the day. The white fabric and white florals they chose for the chapel looked super chic and elegant paired with the eucalyptus and faux candles. She is a sweet country girl, and he has all kinds of swagger. Little Pigeon Florist created the gorgeous matching bouquet, and Mandie Bakes Custom Cakes created a lovely naked cake. This laid back couple was such a treat! Congratulations, Julie and Chuck!!

From the Bride:

We met each other at a cook out at a friend’s/family member’s house. He asked his cousin to ask me if he could reach out to me on Facebook, and I said yes, of course! We started chatting through Facebook but quickly started communicating by phone. After a week or so, he asked me on our first date.
We both had been married before and had kids from our first marriages. I had gone through a very sad and painful divorce after being married for 21 years so I was a little scared of starting over again. Neither one of us were sure we would ever find someone else and ever be happy again and then we met each other and Im sure it was part of God’s plan.

For our first date, we went out to dinner for Mexican and some dancing. It was so much fun! We hit it off immediately. Finding out we liked so many of the same things! We shared a couples meal and margaritas at dinner.

He proposed to me at one of my most favorite places ever, Mountain Lake in Pembroke, VA. It’s where Dirty Dancing was filmed which happens to be one of my favorite movies, too.
It was a very rainy evening but he still walked me down to the famous gazebo with an umbrella. He played the time of my life on his phone. He gave me a rose and got down on one knee and popped the question with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen! Of course I said yes! We then had dinner and champagne at the Mountain Lake Lodge.

We love anything outdoors and especially being in the woods. So when I found the Chapel in the Hollow I knew the minute I saw it that this was our place to get married! Everything about it seems so perfect for us!

I’m most looking forward to the ceremony itself and the pictures. I am such a picture person! When it is all said and done, the memory and the photos are what remain to tell your story! Im pretty excited for the Honeymoon too!! After wedding planning I need a vacation, lol. We chose May because it is my most favorite month of the year!Everything is so fresh new and blooming and it is also the month my son was born. ❤

We love the outdoors! Hiking, kayaking, boating and camping. I love plants flowers and gardening. I am also a hugh animal lover..I have worked in Vet Med for 30 years.🐾
Chuck has his own business in Window Tinting and Auto detailing. We also love to travel!
