Relaxed Tennessee Winter Elopement – Carrie and Scott

Relaxed Tennessee Winter Elopement

Carrie and Scott – December 4, 2024

Carrie and Scott chose Chapel in the Hollow for their simple, relaxed Tennessee winter elopement, and it was absolutely beautiful!  They dressed the chapel in dusty sage fabric with our red berry florals, along with our mini trees and lantern package, creating a lovely, festive winter vibe.
Carrie looked amazing in her long cream and nude dress with mid-length sleeves and feather-style details—such a unique and stunning choice! Her friend created the bouquet, adding an extra touch of love to the day.
These two have been together for 21 years, and you could truly feel the love and warmth between them. Despite the chilly weather, they were so sweet and cozy together, and the whole day was filled with simple, easygoing joy.
Congratulations, Carrie and Scott, on your beautiful winter elopement! Thank you for letting us be a part of your love story.
From the Bride:
We met at a convenience store parking lot late summer of 2003. I was leaving the store with a friend and he was sitting in the parking lot with a friend of his on his motorcycle. Our friends knew each other and introduced us. Over the next few weeks we kept running in to each other or showing up at the same group events. We had the best time when hanging out together and the conversations just flowed. Around Halloween we all met up and went to a haunted hayride which is where I met his 2 adorable boys. Seeing him as a father and the relationship he had with his boys was amazing. We started officially dating December 2003 and the rest is history lol. I knew early on he’d be someone so special to me that he would impact my life in ways I could have never imagined at the age of 19. Here we are 21 years later with 2 sons, who have grown in to amazing husbands and fathers. They have blessed us with 2 wonderful daughter in laws and 5 beautiful grandchildren.
As you can tell from how we met, we have been together for 21 wonderful years. Being legally married has never been something he or I were interested in, honestly it’s just not what was important to us. Building our life together, raising 2 amazing men and loving each other everyday was all we needed. When our families asked; we always joked that we’d eventually get married we just didn’t want to rush it lol. December 2023 we decided it was finally time and we went together and picked out my ring. He proposed at home after we got home from a quick trip TN.
We fell in love with East Tennessee when first vacationed here over 15 years ago. We have been coming back at least 2-3 times a year ever since. We bought land in East TN about 3 years ago and plan to retire here. We always said when we got married we’d do it here because this area is so special to us.
For fun, we enjoy going to concerts, dirt track races, spending time with each other and our family.
