Personalized Love Story Wedding – Jackson and Marisah

Personalized Love Story Wedding at Chapel in the Hollow

Jackson and Marisah – October 11, 2025

When your love story is full of laughter, fandom fun, deep connection, and a shared history that started with pizza, your wedding should reflect every bit of it — and that’s exactly what Jackson and Marisah created with their personalized love story wedding at Chapel in the Hollow.
Set against the vibrant fall foliage of the Smoky Mountains, their October micro wedding was the perfect blend of heartfelt, hilarious, and unapologetically them. From tearful first looks to a bubble-filled lightsaber send-off, every moment felt intentionally crafted — and completely unforgettable.

A Cozy, Romantic Forest Setting

Jackson and Marisah dressed the chapel in rich hunter green fabric paired with our white florals and the candle and lantern package, transforming our woodland chapel into a softly glowing sanctuary tucked deep in the trees.
This color palette was perfect for a fall micro wedding — the green blended seamlessly with the forest around them, while the soft white florals added just the right amount of contrast and timeless charm. You can browse similar decor options in our wedding packages.

A Fairytale Look for a Fairytale Day

Marisah looked every bit the woodland princess in a Justin Alexander gown from Maroon Bridal + Co — a sleeveless design with a dramatic plunging neckline and a full, fluffy tulle skirt that flowed like a dream. Her hair was worn down in soft curls, giving her that effortless romantic vibe we love seeing in fall brides.
Her mom helped her get ready, and the emotion in the room was palpable. But the real tearjerker? A first look with her dad in the bridal suite, where happy tears were flowing freely.
Meanwhile, Jackson kept it dapper and seasonal in a green suit from GQ Unlimited, paired with Nike Air Force 1 sneakers for a relaxed, personal touch — proof that comfort and style can absolutely go hand-in-hand.

Ceremony Full of Heart, Humor, and Nerdy Magic

Before the ceremony, the couple set up a memorial table and guest book to honor the loved ones who couldn’t be there — a beautiful, meaningful way to weave remembrance into the day.
As Marisah walked down the aisle on her father’s arm, both she and Jackson immediately welled up — a moment full of pure, real emotion. They exchanged handwritten vows that had everyone laughing and crying in equal measure.
Oh — and instead of a flower girl, their “flower bros” strutted down the aisle in full comic-relief glory, scattering petals and drawing big laughs from the crowd.

Bubble Send-Off + Light Saber Salute

After the “I dos,” the couple was greeted with a bubble exit that sparkled in the golden forest light — but they didn’t stop there. Guests raised light sabers (yes, real light sabers) in a celebratory salute as the newlyweds walked through, making it one of the most epic and delightfully nerdy send-offs we’ve seen yet.
This joyful, fandom-fueled moment is why we love helping couples bring their unique personalities into their weddings. Whether it’s Star Wars sabers, Dungeons & Dragons dice, or a subtle Marvel nod — we say go for it.

Golden Hour Portraits and Sunset Magic

Following family photos at the chapel, the couple stepped away for dreamy portraits captured by Star Noir Studio, including:
  • Bubble-filled kisses under the archway
  • A magical light beam moment through the trees
  • And finally, sunset photos with sweeping Smoky Mountain views
Golden hour in East Tennessee is truly something else, especially in the fall — and it gave us the perfect light to capture this love story in all its glowing, golden beauty.

Pizza, Please — Because That’s How It All Began

Every wedding needs a great ending, and Jackson and Marisah’s was as authentic as it gets: a pizza reception back at their Airbnb, a sweet nod to how they met while working at a pizza place.
It’s these little personal touches that make a micro wedding so impactful. Without the pressure of a massive guest list or rigid traditions, couples like Jackson and Marisah get to create moments that feel meaningful, relaxed, and real.

From the Bride
We met as coworkers at a Pizza Place.  On our first date we grabbed burgers and got ice cream in St. Louis. Jackson proposed in the Smoky Mountains. We rented a cabin for our anniversary in the woods and that’s where he proposed privately. We decided to get married in the Smokies because that is where we got engaged, so we also wanted to get married there. And we love nature.
