Outdoor Smoky Mountain Micro Wedding
Emily and Matt – February 6, 2024
Emily and Matt’s 20th dating anniversary celebration was made even more special when they decided to turn it into an outdoor Smoky Mountain micro wedding.
Celebrating two decades of love and companionship, Emily and Matt said their vows in an intimate outdoor ceremony amidst the stunning backdrop of the Smoky Mountains. High school sweethearts who’ve journeyed through life’s ups and downs together, they chose to mark this milestone surrounded by navy and white decor, with our elegant white florals enhancing the beauty of the chapel. 🌼💍
Their celebration was a family affair, with their parents, children, and close friends gathering to share in the joy of their special day. To warm hearts and hands, a hot chocolate bar was set up, delighting guests with rich hot chocolate and a selection of unique marshmallows, perfect for the mountain chill. ☕🍫
Emily’s preparation for the day was a bonding moment with her mom, friend, and daughter by her side, each playing a part in helping her get ready. She looked breathtaking in a gauzy pearl-studded dress, a find she described as a steal of a deal, radiating joy and elegance. 👰✨ Matt, ever so dapper, complemented her in a classic grey suit, ready to walk hand in hand into their next chapter. 🤵🔗
Her father had the honor of walking her down the aisle, a moment filled with emotion and love. Their son and daughter, standing proudly as best man and maid of honor, symbolized the strength and unity of their family. 👨👩👧👦
#tietheknotts not only signifies their union but also the knots of life they’ve navigated together, strengthening their bond with each passing year. As Emily and Matt look forward to continuing their journey, we wish them endless joy and countless adventures in the years to come.
From the Bride:
We met in high-school, freshman and sophomore year. Matt proposed while on vacation in Destin, Florida. We had family pictures on the beach planned during the trip, and he pulled off the proposal surprise during the photos with family and friends around. We chose East Tennessee because we wanted something small and intimate, relaxing environment, and outdoor with great scenery. We chose February 6th as our date, because it will be our 20th anniversary from when we began dating.
