Morning Elopement

Sara and Jag joined us for a morning elopement. They met online 5ish years ago, and they’ve been going strong ever since. They chose to dress the chapel in champagne and white with our blue florals, and it was perfect for this bright, sunny morning. Sara likes bargain shopping, and she managed to find this gorgeous dress on Amazon for $150 and the veil for $10!!! (She has promised to get links for me to share.) His charcoal blue suit was super snazzy and set her dress off perfectly. She wore her grandmother’s pearl necklace and earrings to add that extra little touch of elegance. I think you’ll find them as amazing as we do!! Congratulations, Sara and Jag!!

From the Bride:

We met online, the new-old fashioned way. The first date was long. I flew from Arizona to Canada to have our first date. There was no official proposal. We both just spoke about it naturally.

We chose East Tennessee because the location isn’t far from where I live in Kentucky, and this area is known for beautiful wedding locations. Plus, Chapel in the Hollow has the best inclusive packages I found, and the quality of pictures and photo location options are very nice.

We were scheduled to Marry last year in Canada, in May of 2020. However, the pandemic happened and we had to postpone our nuptials. We kept waiting for the borders to re-open unfortunately that has yet to happen. So, we planned on when it would be safe for him to come here and just elope. So, everything that was planned had been put off for over a year. We didn’t know if he would be allowed through customs as just before 80% of the globe was placed on level 4 do not travel restrictions. He was allowed and now we are ready to Marry, we hadn’t seen each other in a year and a half.

We WhatsApp… Or Messenger… If we look cute we may video call lol. We talk and laugh and support each other near or far. We have lasted through the hardest of times from the past 5 years, the pandemic is nothing in comparison. We are able to be who we are with each other without pretenses or guards, it’s an amazing feeling to be accepted for who you are.
