Little Weddings – Danna and Rick

Danna and Rick – August 19, 2021

Little Weddings

Big weddings are all about the flash and bang which can be lovely, but little weddings are so beautifully intimate–they are my favorite. Danna and Rick eloped with us today after 8 years together. They wanted something simple and fun, and we are so glad they chose us to help them celebrate!! Her dress was elegant and classic with lots of gorgeous movement. He was in a traditional black suit. The two of them together were fire — not a single bad picture!! Congratulations, Rick and Danna!!
From the Bride:
Rick actually bought the company i was working for. While there was an obvious and instant chemistry between us, we tried extremely hard to keep our relationship strictly professional. Despite our best efforts, the more time we spent together, the stronger our feelings became. After about a year, there was no denying it and we made the decision to announce our feelings to pretty much anyone who would listen!
Neither one of us can recall our first official date. Most of our time together that first year was spent pulling some very long shifts together at work. Our work ethic was one of the traits that we shared and respected about each other.
Rick proposed on Christmas day 2020, surrounded by our family while we were exchanging gifts.
We wanted something simple; but Vegas wasn’t for us. On a whim, i did an online search and your venue came up. I knew it was perfect for us from the first time i saw it.
We are most looking forward to solidifying our commitment to each other. We have been together for nearly eight years, so we are excited to finally make it official.
Our wedding day is also Danna’s birthday: Even though we didn’t necessarily plan it that way, Rick finds it convenient that he will only have to remember one date!

We both love the outdoors, which is why we chose your venue. In our free time, we enjoy working in our vegetable and flower gardens, hiking, kayaking, fishing, hunting, pretty much anything outdoors where we can enjoy nature.

We also bought our first home together three years ago. We both have construction in our background, so we have enjoyed all the indoor and outdoor projects. We finished our basement this past winter and added an additional 1,000 square feet of living space to our home. We both find it incredibly rewarding to be able to take on these projects together and create a space that represents exactly who we are.
