Laid Back Elopement – Kimberly and Lance

Laid Back Elopement

Kimberly and Lance – October 26, 2023

Kimberly and Lance chose Chapel in the Hollow for their laid back elopement. No frills, just pure love in the forest. They dressed the chapel in white fabric with our bohemian florals, letting the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains speak for itself.
Kimberly looked simply radiant in her lace-sleeved maxi dress, while Lance rocked a crisp ensemble with jeans, a white dress shirt, and a stylish tie.  Their adventure didn’t end there. After tying the knot, they headed to The Abbey in Townsend for a delightful drink and wrapped up their special day with a romantic dinner in charming Gatlinburg.
This outdoor destination elopement in the Smoky Mountains, near Pigeon Forge, was all about love, nature, and celebrating in their own relaxed way. Cheers to Kimberly and Lance!

From the Bride:

We went to high school together, but hung out with different crowds. We officially “met” twenty years later, connected, and have been together for the past six years. Our first date was perfect…. we drank whiskey cokes and laughed about the past and caught up to the present. Lance proposed in his favorite spot, which is in our garage by his vintage car.

We decided on an East Tennessee elopement because Tennessee is our favorite place to visit together. We didn’t want to deal with the stress of a traditional wedding (we actually had a venue booked), being that it is both our second go-around, so we convinced our families to let us elope. We are beyond excited to get married in the Smoky Mountains during our favorite season. I am looking forward to being among the beauty of the fall season in the mountains while marrying our best friend.

For fun, we enjoy “junking,” aka antiquing. Sevierville has some great antique shops and we look forward to visiting them during our visit. We also enjoy driving vintage cars (hence, the photos by the road), summers in Wisconsin, and walking our dogs during warm summer nights. We also love hanging out with my two sons (Kimberly’s) at Road America in Elkhart Lake watching the races during the summer. We are a vintage car family and love the people, places, and experiences we’ve had together.
