Nestled deep in the heart of East Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, their outdoor micro wedding was filled with soft breezes, golden light, and heartfelt moments that felt like nature itself was joining in their celebration.

They chose to dress the outdoor chapel in cream and champagne fabric, accented by our bohemian floral package and glowing lanterns — the perfect combo for a cozy, rustic-chic forest ceremony. The result was a magical ambiance that embraced the natural beauty of the forest while adding just the right touch of romance and style.

The Bride, The Groom, and a Whole Lot of Love
Jessica looked like an ethereal forest goddess in her cold-shoulder ivory gown from Lulus, with soft curls swept to the side. Her style was effortless and elegant — the kind of beauty that doesn’t try too hard because it doesn’t have to. She completed her look with Givenchy earrings and shoes from London Rag, bringing a soft sparkle to the earthy forest setting.
Matthew went for a classic laid back groom look with khaki pants and a white dress shirt — simple, timeless, and so fitting for this relaxed celebration of love.
Before the ceremony, the two shared a private first look near our charming bridal suite — always one of our favorite moments to photograph. There was just enough time for soft golden family portraits before heading into the woods for the ceremony.
A Ceremony with Music, Mountains, and Magic
Jessica’s son walked her down the aisle while her father played the guitar — a beautiful, emotional moment that set the tone for their vows. They chose our lantern and candlelight package for a soft glow, adding warmth and intimacy to the ceremony space as the sun began to dip behind the trees.
After saying“I do,” we snuck away with the couple for sunset portraits under a moody sky. The Smoky Mountains did what they do best — wrapped everything in a little haze and hit us with a light romantic sprinkle just as we hit the field for those epic views. It was the perfect way to end a truly perfect day.
A Wedding That Felt Like Home
Everything about this celebration spoke to who Jessica and Matthew are as a couple — laid back, family-focused, and deeply in love. Their wedding was proof that you don’t need a huge guest list or a grand ballroom to have a meaningful, unforgettable wedding day. Sometimes all you need is your favorite people, some candles in the woods, and a little Smoky Mountain magic.
From the Bride
I work as a clerk for the Scott County Treasurer’s Office, and Matthew came in to pay his taxes. Then later evening, he sent me a message on Instagram, and we’ve been together ever since. We met at Starbuck’s for coffee and conversation for our first date.
We had already agreed that we wanted to be married. One day, we went and picked out my ring, and after it finally arrived, he officially proposed when he gave it to me. We love the natural beauty of this area. We are also close by, so it’s pretty convenient for us. On our wedding day I can’t wait to make it official and have our family there to share the special moment with us! I’m also looking forward to getting some great photos.
We like to hang at home and watch movies or shows, and travel when we can. Doing anything together if fun for us!
