Intimate Wedding Venues
Intimate wedding venues are a fun option if you want to go small, and Tennessee is a great place to find them! Peggy and Gordon joined us for their elopement on the morning of June 9th. They decided to go early to beat the heat, and they had some gorgeous lighting!! They split their time between her house in Tennessee and his in North Carolina getting to spend lots of special moments with each of their families. These two have been together for nine years now — yesterday was not only the anniversary of their first date, but it was also his mother’s 97th birthday!! Congratulations Peggy and Gordon!!
From the Bride:
We met when both of us were working at Watts Bar Nuclear power Plant. The first time he asked me out on a date we were standing beside of the reactor head – not just anyone can say that! For our first date, we went dancing.
Gordon proposed to me on my birthday at Margaritaville at the Island in Pigeon Forge.
We chose East Tennessee for our wedding because the mountains are our happy place! I’m most looking forward to becoming a Farmer. 🙂
We chose the date because it is our nine year anniversary of our first date, and the grooms mothers birthday (97 this year!)
For fun, we spend half the year bear hunting and the other half of the year preparing for hunting season lol. We also love to travel and run away to Gatlinburg several times a year to recharge our batteries.
