Icy Spring Micro Wedding – Paige and Tanner

Paige and Tanner – April 9, 2022

Icy Spring Micro Wedding

Paige and Tanner joined us today during a crazy intermittent ice storm for their icy spring micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in white and navy with our blue and yellow florals. They were the first to use our new succulent wreaths on the pews. Tanner got all teary eyed during the first look, and it’s no wonder. Paige looked amazing! We took them out to the field for the last of the photos, and that’s when the skies really opened up. Paige and Tanner were total troopers, and we got some great photos before they left to go warm up. Congratulations, Paige and Tanner!!
From the Bride:
Tanner and I met while I was attending college, December 13, 2019. On our first date, we knew we would be a great couple. We had a blast and later that night he asked me to officially be his girlfriend. That night we made another date for two days later. When I was leaving he said I love you and I kind of choked and then I said it back. Before covid hit that next March, we were inseparable. Then when school closes I moved back home and we turned to a long distance relationship, seeing each other once a month, sometimes twice. Meanwhile, we both graduated and started our careers. Luckily, there was a job opportunity where he lived so I had the chance to move where he lived. Tanner proposed on September 10, 2021 and here we are.
The first date was incredible. It started off rocky because my roommate was late to our roomie Christmas gift exchange so he sat in the parking lot for almost an hour before I was free. Luckily he stuck it out! We went to Buffalo Wild Wings and had the best time. After that we went to five below and bought slime, which we still have. It was weird how we weren’t nervous at all. We just had the best time. After we ate, we went back to my apartment and hung out. There he asked me to be his girlfriend, officially. He tells me all the time he knew that night, I would be the girl he would marry one day.
Tanner proposed on September 10, 2021. I had had the WORST day at work. I had just woken up when he got to our apartment and he went into the spare room to take off his work vest and duty belt and I didn’t know he had the ring box in his pocket so I was aggravating him and messing with his hand cuffs and stuff and he kept trying to get me to go get ready for dinner. Instead, I stayed and kept aggravating. Then he said oh well and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I replied, “mhmmm.”
We knew that we didn’t want a big wedding and we both love the mountains. I found Chapel in Hollow and immediately fell in love with it. I’m most looking forward to seeing Tanner waiting for me at the altar.
We love Mexican food. We love to go fishing and be on the water. We love to spend time with our family and Sadie the dog. We love to watch TikTok and laugh together.
