How to Get Day of Photography Coverage from Thimble

How to Get
Day of Photography Coverage
from Thimble

At Chapel in the Hollow, we require anyone performing a service (except for your officiant) on site (paid or unpaid) to provide us with a certificate of insurance that will cover them, you, and us should they cause something unexpected to happen while on site. Most professional wedding vendors already carry insurance on their business in which case it is super easy for them to request a certificate of insurance and list an additional insured.

For those professionals who do not carry it or for the hobbyists that don’t normally do weddings, somewhere like thimble.com is a great option for coverage while you are with us that is very affordable. I’m going to show you step by step how to purchase the coverage.

Step 1: Click “Get a Quote” in the green box.

Step 2: Enter the zip code for the area you will be performing the services. Here, that is 37865.

Step 3: Click Business Insurance and then click the green next button at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Type in Photographer and click “photographers” when it pops up then click next.

Step 5: Click General Liability Coverage then click next.

Step 6: Photographers are not required to be licensed in TN so click the “I am licensed if required” box and click continue.

Step 7: Click that you are not doing any of the activites that are not covered then click continue.

Step 8: Click Less than a month then click Continue.

Step 9: Unless you have someone working with you, click “Nope, just me!” Then click continue.

Step 10: Select your coverage dates/times. Select the day of your wedding and then 30 minutes before your booked time (so that it will cover your grace period). Ex. 12pm-1pm wedding would choose 11:30am for the start time and 1:30pm for the end time. It will show you a price down below. Click continue.

Step 11: Make sure that professional liability and customer property protection are covered. If you would like for your equipment to be covered, please choose that as well. Then click continue.

Step 12: It will give you a quote. Continue to payment and make it official!
