Brooklyn and Bailey Gatlinburg Wedding Chapels

Brooklyn and Bailey September 21, 2019

Our previous couple, Tristan and Taylor, recommended us to Brooklyn and Bailey for their wedding, and we are so glad!! They were our second elopement on September 21st. I am envious of Brooklyn’s makeup skills — she created her hair and makeup looks all by herself and look soooo fabulous. Her dress was a bargain for less than $50 from Southern Fried Chics Boutique, and while it may be low on expense, it definitely has all the style! Bailey was looking dapper in his Navy suit looking all the world like a stylish southern gentleman with manners to match and a kooky sense of humor. My husband tried to convince me that Bailey looked like a young Bruce Campbell, and I couldn’t see it until he googled some pictures. They must have a common ancestor, lol, and apparently Bailey has some wildlife skills as well… Before they left, he was standing at  his vehicle putting things away, and a squirrel came right up to him and let him pet it. Soooo weird, but cool! We are so glad they chose us for their wedding venue! Congratulations, Brookly and Bailey!

From the Bride:
I  had recently moved into his aunt’s rental home when he was coming home from college. He introduced himself shortly after, and we hung out a few times, spent some time together, and became great friends. Eventually, we decided we were going to try the whole dating thing since we got along so well. We dated for around 5 months before getting engaged. A year and 2 months after first starting dating we are getting married.

The first date… There is a local place where we are from in Florence, AL that everyone refers to as the “Train Bridge.” We went and walked up and down the bridge talking and getting to know each other more than ever on this day, the day we officially started dating.

I proposed. It was December 28, 2018, and I decided I didn’t want to start the new year without us being engaged. I planned it all out and sent him to town to get some stuff while I set the proposal up with an aisle of rose petals leading to 200 small candles arranged to read “Marry Me?” I also had my 2 year old daughter holding a sign that read, “Will you marry my mommy?” He said yes and actually already had me an engagement ring which he gave me that night.

We chose Tennessee for our wedding because we saw a similar wedding on Facebook and it was beautiful and simple so we made the choice to do the same

In our spare time, we really enjoy taking mini-vacations to events like MLB baseball games, or even just a couple hours away to explore and get a hotel room to get away for a weekend. We typically go on 1 or 2 dinner dates a month, good food is one thing we refuse to go without.
