Abby and John’s Friday October wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a stunning celebration of love and family, set against the rustic charm of the Smokies. They chose a beautiful palette of hunter green and textured rust fabric, perfectly enhanced by our candle and lantern package, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere for their special day.
Abby looked breathtaking in a spaghetti strap dress, shimmering with gorgeous glitter fabric, and a long train that flowed elegantly behind her. Her look was completed with a medium length veil, adding a touch of bridal mystique. John opted for a laid-back yet stylish ensemble of jeans paired with a black dress shirt and vest, perfectly suiting the informal yet intimate nature of their celebration.
In a charming twist, the couple chose to use our green velvet chairs at the bottom of the chapel steps, providing a cozy spot for them to sit together during the ceremony—a little detail that made their wedding uniquely theirs. Abby’s mom played a special role in helping her prepare for the day, adding to the heartfelt moments. John walked their daughter and his mother down the aisle, a touching gesture that highlighted the family-centered nature of their day. Abby then made her entrance accompanied by her parents, making it a truly family-oriented ceremony.
They brought their own fall bouquet, adding a personal touch to the autumn-themed decor. After exchanging vows surrounded by their loved ones, the couple and their family gathered for photos at the chapel. We then captured beautiful moments of the couple alone in front of the archway, at the mossy tree, and amidst the vines, taking full advantage of the enchanting property settings.
Congratulations, Abby and John! Your wedding beautifully merged tradition with personal touches, making it a day to remember. May your life together continue to be as beautiful and filled with love as your wedding day!
From the Bride
We met on Facebook. On our first date we went fishing. John proposed on a dirt road while dancing. John got down saying there was a rock in his pocket then pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him. We decided to get married at Chapel in the Hollow because it was an all in one package deal. On our wedding day we look forward to committing to each other surrounded by the people we love the most. In our free time we love to fish, hunt, and cook.
