Meagan and Jake – November 19, 2022
Fall Woodsy Micro Wedding
Meagan and Jake joined us with their families for a fall woodsy micro wedding. They dressed the chapel in white fabric with florals purchased from Accessories by Kochetova Inna — one of our favorite Etsy shops. She was gorgeous in her slinky dress, and he looked fantastic in his navy suit. Their daughter walked a tiny puppy down the aisle with a little help from grandma. Congratulations, Meagan and Jake!!
From the Bride:
I noticed Jake in passing at work (he worked day shift, and I was on nights). We had never spoken, however he definitely caught my eye. I told a coworker of mine, an older lady named Ruth, that I thought he was cute and she excitedly stated how cute of a couple we would be. She went on to tell Jake that “the night shift girls have been talking all about how cute you are.” The next day, I get a Facebook friend request from Jake. I’ve asked him & Ruth both several times if she ever told him my name, but they both swear that she didn’t (for the record, I do believe them 🤣). He said that I was the only person he knew of from night shift, so he decided to friend me. We got to talking, I admitted that was me who talked to Ruth about how cute he was, and the rest is history!
For our first date, we went to the movies — I cuddled him and got so comfy that I fell asleep. I’m glad he enjoyed the movie though! Jake proposed. He had plans of taking me on a sweet walk at the park and proposing there. But our beautiful baby girl had other plans and was throwing a tantrum that day, so he made the most of what he could and knelt down by our Christmas tree and popped the question. I cried happy tears and just hugged him forever. It was definitely unexpected and Harper was right there with us through it all. 💓
We chose east Tennessee for our fall woodsy micro wedding because of the scenery! I’m most looking forward to seeing the look on his face as I walk down the aisle. Our little girl was born in November 2019, and this year November 19th fell on a Saturday in the middle of the beautiful fall colors in TN, so we knew it was the perfect date!
We shamelessly spend all of our free time with Harper. Whatever we are doing, we just like to do it all together. Even if it is chores around the house or a lazy Sunday watching movies.
