Heather and Mark – October 10, 2021
Fall October Elopement
Heather and Mark joined us today for a beautiful fall October elopement. They dressed the chapel in navy and white with our white florals. These two were so much fun! We swapped some jokes and got to learn about a nifty vaycay spot in Jordan (def going to be planning to go there in the future). Congratulations, Heather and Mark!!
From the Bride:
We actually went to high school together and graduated in 2005. We were never close friends, but when my Dad was diagnosed with brain cancer in December 2013 Mark reached out to me on facebook and I believe completely took advantage of me in an emotional state. lol (I was in love at first kiss Christmas night 2013.) Flash forward past some extremely sad & rough times, on & off agains, the birth of our son, deployment, ect. and we are both finally in the same place to commit to each other and live the fun loving life together we were meant to. (Not the greatest story, but we love our life now:)
For our first date, we went to Boca Di Beppo on the plaza in Kansas City, Missouri during a snow storm. We probably should have rescheduled. lol No “formal” proposal…yet. I told him he still has to get on one knee with my ring and say sweet things to me before we make it official with you. (The day of the wedding, he did, but he forgot the ring.)
I’ve always thought a Smoky Mountain honeymoon was dreamy. We’re having a lower cost wedding/honeymoon roadtrip. I’m most looking forward to saying our vows & committing to each other before God. And being able to call that handsome face my husband. We have a small time frame to get married and 10/10 sounded perfect. And Mark’s questionable memory will actually remember it. lol
We are so blessed to have our 3 year old son Duke. He is such a sweet & thoughtful boy that loves learning and building things. We’re pretty much obsessed with him…and tractors, airplanes, & dinosaurs have become our life. We love animals, gardening, & grilling. But mostly, we love spending time outside relaxing around a fire with beer and good music.
