Fall Mountain Wedding

Jessica and Matt’s fall mountain wedding was our first wedding of the day on October 8, 2020. They’ve had a lot of trials and tribulations surrounding their wedding, but they’ve managed to persevere. Jessica looked lovely in her dress, and Matt was rocking the casual vibe with a dress shirt and jeans. Her friend, Ashley, helped coordinate everything, and she did an amazing job. Congratulations, Jessica and Matt!!

From the Bride:

Matt works at the Sheriff Department as a deputy where we live, and I work at the Ambulance service as a Paramedic. We met while at work. We went to mutual friends of ours and grilled out and just talked and got to know each other. It was a blast, laughing and being treated like I was important for the first time in a long time. We found out that we were going to have a baby not far into the relationship, and we couldn’t have been more excited. I have 2 boys with my previous marriage and he had no kids. Matt decided to have will you marry me monogrammed on a baby onesie, and I opened it up at the baby shower. He got down on one knee and asked me in front of all our friends and family. It was a perfect day with perfect people and a perfect ring.

We took our first trip together to the Mountains, and we mainly wanted a more private and intimate wedding. We have both been married before, and this time we wanted it to be about us, our love story, and just about our family and not about 100s of others. We know that we found our forever in each other and we just wanted to share that with ourselves, kids, and parents.

I’m most looking forward to capturing his reaction to the “first look.” One of the most attractive features I find in Matt is how he looks at me and finds no flaws and sees me for who I am. Second, simply marrying my best friend and enjoying this time together with our family.

We love to just hang out and be together. Now days, with having a baby and the crazy schedules that come with our jobs, and the long hours, we don’t get as much time together as we would like. We take joy in just being able to sit together on the couch and talk. We love to laugh and joke with one another, and I always look forward to this time that we get, even if it’s not long.
