Marty and Robert – October 1, 2020
Eloping in the Smoky Mountains
Marty and Robert were our second couple on October 1st, 2020 to consider eloping in the Smoky Mountains. They met 25 years ago, but after many twists and turns, just recently reconnected. These two are ready for their happily ever after, and they look cute as a button as they start their journey together!! Congratulations, Marty and Robert!
From the Bride:
Robert and I met on a blind date in 1995 and were set up by mutual friends. We dated for almost a year and ended up going our separate ways. Over the past 25 years, we occasionally ran into each other enough that we always knew how the other was. The last time we ran into each other we realized we were both single again and still had that spark! After we reconnected, Robert asked if I’d like to meet him after work for dinner. We met for pizza, talked for 2 hours, and have been together since! It’s like we picked up where we left off and realized we should have never let one another go.
Robert proposed on July 17th while playing the game “Bad Choices”! He used his “create your own question card” to pop the question! We chose East Tennessee because we were looking for an all-inclusive wedding package and love the woodsy feel! We are most looking forward to sharing our vows with one another!!
