Easy Mini Wedding – Maura and Shane

Easy Mini Wedding

Maura and Shane – June 10, 2024

Maura and Shane celebrated their union with a delightful easy mini wedding at Chapel in the Hollow, wrapped in the elegance of cream and blush fabrics and our romantic blush and bashful florals, illuminated by our cozy lantern package.
The venue was further personalized with a memory table adorned with photos, adding a sentimental touch to their special day. Maura looked stunning in a chic black off-the-shoulder dress that elegantly contrasted with the traditional wedding attire, while Shane kept it casual and stylish in jeans paired with a cream-colored dress shirt.
Their bouquets featured beautiful touches of mauve and pampas grass, perfectly tying into the rustic and elegant theme of their wedding. In a heartwarming procession, Shane walked their daughters down the aisle, and their son had the honor of walking Maura down the aisle, symbolizing the close-knit bond of their family.
One of the ceremony’s highlights was the puzzle unity ritual, involving a puzzle with pieces bearing their names and those of their children, symbolizing the coming together of their lives in a beautiful and meaningful way.
Maura and Shane have shared a lifetime of memories, having known each other since they were seven and been together romantically for the last two years. Shane’s playful spirit as a jokester added a light-hearted and joyful element to the celebrations, reflecting the deep comfort and happiness they find in each other’s company.
Congratulations, Maura and Shane! May the joy of your wedding day be a reflection of all your days to come.
From the Bride:
Shane’s sister and I became best friends when I was 7 years old so I’ve known him practically my whole life. As we got older I had had a crush on him for years but he was always in a relationship then eventually got married and I eventually married also, a little over 2 years ago he was on the phone with his sister while I was standing there talking to her and found out I was single so he added me on facebook and messaged me. We talked for months before I agreed to hang out with him because I was scared.
It took months to have an actual first date but the first time we hung out with each other I went to his house and he had ordered pizza and we watched movies. Then we were inseparable from there.
He asked me if I would come have dinner with him after work that night. I had gotten off work early and didn’t tell him so he didn’t have everything ready when I got there so he made me go sit in the living room while he was preparing everything. He had a bouquet of flowers on the table, our family pictures that we had taken months prior all around it, a card, and the ring sitting in front. He told me that I brought one child in and he brought two and together we made this crazy family then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. His youngest daughter was standing behind him waiting on an answer so naturally I had to ask her what I should say. Shane is not the romantic type at all so I was not expecting any of that so I just kept looking around and then back at him and then I finally said yes. He had had a talk with my son the night before and asked him if he could ask me to marry him and how he would feel about it and he also asked his oldest daughter before he done it.
I’ve always loved the mountains and thought it would be the perfect place for us to start the next journey of our life together.
I can’t wait to walk down the aisle to my forever. I never thought this day would come so now that it’s here I just can’t wait. I can’t wait to have my little family be apart of it and be legally joined together.
We normally just spend time together at home or with our families. We are always so busy that if we’re not at work if we’re going somewhere or doing something we’re doing it together because that is our quality time together.
