East Tennessee Elopement – Kristin and Lee

East Tennessee Elopement

Kristin and Lee joined us for an East Tennessee elopement, with some gorgeous midday lighting. They dressed the chapel in white fabric with our blue and yellow florals and the lavender wreaths. She had a lovely lace dress, and he looked stylish in his vest and cowboy hat. Congratulations, Kristin and Lee!!
From the Bride:
We met in high school, I was 15 and he was 17. We were best friends and dated through high school and college. After college we went our separate ways. We kept in touch over the years telling each other happy birthday and occasional checks ins to see how one another was doing. Both of us entered different relationships and later had children and became single parents to girls. We reconnected and our relationship began to blossom. We both acknowledge that we never stopped loving each other and wanted to spend our lives together raising our beautiful girls. So now, 16 years after splitting up, we are getting married and have never been happier! It was always meant to be and I am very fortunate to have such an amazing partner to share my life with. Our first date after reconnecting was great. We went out to dinner and spent the evening talking and catching up. It truly felt like we just picked up where we left off all those years ago.
Lee proposed on Christmas morning 2021 after we opened gifts from each other. Lee shared his plan with our oldest daughter who was recording. Most of our family came to our house that day for Christmas, so we were able to share our news as everyone arrived. We also facetimed our out of town family who could not be there to share the news with them. We decided on an East Tennessee wedding because , we both wanted a simple but intimate wedding ceremony. When we found the Chapel in the Hollow website, it was exactly what we imagined. So we moved forward with booking a nearby cabin for a few days and reserved our wedding package. We both love the mountains and the outdoors. We are looking forward to having a private, intimate, and romantic wedding ceremony between just the two of us. We will be able to focus on just us and cherish this very special moment without coordinating anything else.
For fun, we spend almost all of our free time together and with our children. We also set aside date nights for just the two of us as well. We normally go out to dinner and try new restaurants in the area.
