Chic Winter Micro Wedding – Rebecca and Samuel

Chic Winter Micro Wedding

Rebecca and Samuel – December 15, 2024

Rebecca and Samuel embraced the beauty of the season with their chic winter micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow.  The chapel was dressed in soft cream fabric and adorned with red berry winter florals, creating an intimately cozy yet elegant atmosphere perfect for the misty, cloudy day.
Rebecca looked effortlessly stunning in her chic, long-sleeved ivory silk wrap dress paired with stylish chunky cream Prada heels.  Her hair, styled in soft waves, added a touch of classic romance to her look. Samuel complemented her perfectly in a grey suit with a subtle pattern, looking dashing and refined.
Rebecca made a graceful entrance as she walked down the aisle on her own, surrounded by the love of their families who joined them to celebrate this special moment.
The soft, misty light and the chill in the air added a dreamy quality to the day, making it feel like a scene from a fairytale.  After the ceremony, we captured their love at some of our most magical spots: the mossy tree, the highland area, the rock garden, the road, and the field with the breathtaking mountain backdrop.
Congratulations, Rebecca and Samuel! Your proper outdoor forest wedding was a perfect reflection of your style and love story. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and cherished memories.
From the Bride
We met in October almost seven years ago at an industry-only Champagne and Sparkling Wine tasting — only Sam crashed it since his childhood best friend happened to be in town pouring at this event. We flirted a little bit while I was at his friend’s table but didn’t really speak again for the next hour or so I was there. On my way out, he walked over to me and lingered while I was saying goodbye to a colleague. Blame it on the bubbles, but I beat him to the punch and directly asked him, “so when will I see you again?”After a couple months of texting and the occasional pop-in to my workplace, I ended up going over to his place so we could watch my favorite holiday horror movie, Black Christmas, since he had never seen it. We have watched it on our anniversary every year since then.
Sam proposed while we were in Iceland last September. I kind of had an inkling something was up, but when it didn’t happen at one particular moment that would have been perfect, I wrote it off. Two days later, he insisted we hop in the not-so-hot geothermal hotpot outside of the cabin we were staying at. We were practically freezing as it started to snow so when we were about to call it quits, he reached over the side and pulled out a red box. I was legitimately shocked and so, so happy. Having always been drawn to the mountains, we fell in love with the scenery at the Chapel. It was perfectly quaint and ideal for an intimate elopement — plus Chastidyi’s beautiful photography was the cherry on top.
On our wedding day we, are most looking forward to celebrating with loved ones at our small reception at our friends’ restaurant back in Asheville and dressing to the nines. I finally get to wear the old Hollywood dress of my dreams, and Sam is wearing the exact replica of James Bond’s suit from Dr. No. We decided on this date because December 15th is already our anniversary. We decided to keep it the same day to make it simple plus we didn’t want to just brush aside the seven years we’ve been together with a different date!
We are both lovers of film and travel. A typical night for the two of us would be me cooking a slightly too elaborate meal for a weeknight, and watching a movie before bed with our pets at our sides.
