Casual Country Wedding – Sophee and Phil

Casual Country Wedding

Sophee and Phil – April 13, 2024

Sophee and Phil celebrated their love with a charming casual country wedding set in the scenic Chapel in the Hollow. They chose a beautiful dusty blue fabric to adorn the chapel, adding a serene touch to their special day. Sophee’s mother lovingly crafted flowers for the chapel and the pews, infusing the ceremony with a personal and heartfelt touch.
Sophee looked delightful in a short white dress accented with blue detailing, perfect for a relaxed yet elegant country wedding. Phil matched the casual theme splendidly in tan pants paired with a blue dress shirt, complementing the day’s color scheme beautifully.
Joined by both sets of their parents, the day was filled with love and familial warmth. Sophee’s mom played a special role, helping her get ready and sharing in those precious pre-ceremony moments.
A poignant walk down the aisle with her dad led Sophee to Phil, where they exchanged vows surrounded by the love of their closest family members.
Highlighting their playful and whimsical side, they chose a cute cake adorned with subtle Disney details, a nod to their fun-loving personalities and shared joys.
Sophee and Phil’s wedding was not just a celebration of their union, but a joyous gathering of love, simplicity, and the beauty of heartfelt details. As they begin their journey together as a married couple, we wish them a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and love.
Congratulations, Sophee and Phil! May your lives together be as joyful and loving as your beautiful wedding day.
From the Couple:
Phil and Sophee are high school sweethearts. They met in the 9th grade. After years of being friends, smiling in the hall, and Phil holding doors for Sophee, she got up the courage to send Phil a text message about the upcoming weekend. They made plans to attend a Navy Lacrosse double header.
Their very first date was one of the best days of their lives. It rained and delayed the games for hours. Phil and Sophee had the best time watching the lacrosse games. However, they had an even better time talking in the tunnel during the rain delay. They both came home that night in love.
By the end of the summer, Phil wasn’t about to let go of Sophee. In the fall, Phil made his intentions clear and asked Sophee’s dad for her hand in marriage. When Sophee was a little girl she saw a couple get engaged during Christmas at the Magic Kingdom. From that day forward Sophee dreamed she would be that girl someday. Phil made all her dreams come true when he got down on one knee and said, “Sophee, will you marry me?” To which her reply was, “Oh my gosh, YES!!!”
Phil and Sophee are attending Tusculum University in the fall. At Tusculum, Phil will be a Buisiness major and Sophee will major in Sport Science and be a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. East Tennessee will be their forever home so it felt right to start their lives as husband and wife in their Home Sweet Tennessee Home.
Of everything to look forward to on the wedding day, Sophee and Phil are most looking forward to simply being married. April 13th is the day that Sophee first sent Phil a message to make first date plans. Sophee and Phil love the outdoors. They enjoy camping and traveling. They both love playing lacrosse, spending time with friends and family, listening to music and attending concerts. Saturdays in the fall are saved for watching football. Sophee gets louder when she’s cheering on the Volunteers. Phil loves to cook and Sophee loves to watch him cook.
