Budget Weddings – Khelsie and Dylan

Khelsie and Dylan – October 16, 2020

Rustic Country Micro Wedding

Budget weddings are a great way to go if you’re trying to save up for something like a downpayment on a house.
October 16th’s wedding between Dylan and Khelsie was super sweet! Her sister was a force to be reckoned with… a veritable cyclone of getting things accomplished. This fun Indiana couple used the exact same wedding ceremony that Khelsie’s sisters did before her. We stole her mom and dad away for a few minutes of canoodling, and got to see a tasty looking cake from Cakes by Angie Heth! Congratulations, Khelsie and Dylan!!!
From the Bride:
Dylan and I met January 2018. He came into my work every Friday night for about six months. I finally wanted to have a full conversation with him so I started talking about the new tattoo he had gotten that night. Shortly after that, Dylan added me on Facebook and we started talking right after. It felt like we got to know each other fast. Who would’ve known making small talk about a tattoo would turn into an amazing love story!
Our first date was absolutely amazing! He picked me up and we went to Florence, Kentucky. I remember being so nervous. I barely talked and everyone who knows me knows I love to talk.
It was such a gloomy day. It had been raining all day long. We were almost to our exit and we saw a car on the side of the road that had hydroplaned. Dylan immediately stopped the car and got out to help them. I was really impressed. I thought, “man, this guy is pretty great for helping these people.”
He helped as much as he could, then we proceeded on our date night! We ate at my favorite restaurant, Olive Garden. Let me tell ya, I ate like a mouse. I could barely eat anything. My stomach was turning, I had so many knot feelings in my stomach.  After we ate we went to Dave & Buster’s. We had so much fun. I kicked his butt at Skee – ball. I thought he would’ve been impressed but I think he was a little embarrassed. ????  To say the least, our first date was amazing.

In May 2019 we had a weekend getaway to Brown County, IN planned. I was so excited to have a weekend getaway. We were having the best time together. Being together just made everything right in the world. While we were on the trip, Dylan started acting like something was wrong. He told me everything was fine and he was just happy to be away with me for a few days. Dylan is a very happy-go-lucky guy. He was just being really quiet and I was LITERALLY getting scared thinking he was going to break up with me. Lol. Sunday morning came and we had one last thing planned. We were going to go to a place called Copperhead Creek Gem Mine. Dylan told me that it seemed like a cool place to go. I walked over to get our spot at the Gem Mine while he was inside getting the mining bags. Dylan gave me my bag and I started to pour it out. When I poured I saw a little tiny bag. I picked it up and when I turned around he was down on one knee. My heart literally sank!! After I told him yes, I turned around and our parents were standing there watching the whole time.
Let me just tell ya, I was relieved he wasn’t breaking up with me. Best. Day. Ever!!

We decided on East Tennessee because of Covid-19. We were originally getting married in our hometown, Batesville IN. We did not want to change the wedding date and we didn’t want to wait any longer. We searched for months to find the perfect venue. We fell in love with Chapel in the Hollow the day we found it online. Our hearts were set.

We just can’t wait to be husband and wife. We can’t wait to see each other at the chapel. OH and the pictures are going to be amazing!!

I had always wanted to get married around my dads birthday. My dad and I have ALWAYS been best best buddies and I knew that would be perfect. We will be getting married October 16th and my dad’s birthday is October 18th. A wedding and a birthday celebration?? Can’t beat that! Best vacation ever!!

We love to hike. We love to see waterfalls and nature. Trying out new wineries is also our favorite.
We have a place near us called Vinoklet Winery. They have a “grill to perfect” night, so we can go and sit by the grill and grill our own food. The first time we went there we fell in love. Movie nights are our favorite. We always go to the store and get a bunch of snacks and stay home on a nice Saturday night and watch movies. We love being with family and friends. We are both just so down to earth we just love being together. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing we are always having fun.
