Rain-Kissed Romance
Afternoon August Wedding
If you’re dreaming of a romantic August wedding in the Smoky Mountains, you’ll fall head over heels for Brandon and Sharon’s gorgeous afternoon ceremony at Chapel in the Hollow. Nestled in the Tennessee woods with a gentle breeze in the air and just a hint of rain to cool things off, their special day was the perfect blend of heartfelt, relaxed, and incredibly beautiful.
A Forest Wedding with Dusty Blue Charm
Brandon and Sharon dressed the chapel in dusty blue and white fabric, accented with our signature blue and yellow florals, creating a dreamy color palette that paired beautifully with the late-summer forest. Whether you’re planning a rustic-chic micro wedding or a romantic elopement, this combo is a stunning choice for a Smoky Mountain afternoon wedding in August.
The soft tones brought a calm elegance to the woodland setting, while the pops of yellow florals added a cheerful warmth that mirrored the couple’s joyful energy. Even with a few raindrops sprinkling the scene, the light mist only made the greens around the venue pop, giving their photos an ethereal, almost fairytale quality.
Sharon & Brandon: Love, Laughter, and a Family Affair
Sharon looked radiant in a sleeveless ivory gown with a soft train that floated gracefully behind her as she made her way down the aisle. Her dress, sourced from Amazon, was proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks. Her confidence, joy, and love lit up the entire forest.
Brandon kept it casual yet polished in jeans and a light blue dress shirt, perfectly complementing the laid-back woodland vibe while still looking wedding-ready. This is what makes micro weddings at Chapel in the Hollow so magical—you get to craft a day that truly reflects your personal style.
Their ceremony was full of meaningful moments. Sharon’s father walked her down the aisle with pride, and Brandon’s father, Eddie Bible, had the honor of officiating the ceremony. Family was front and center, including their adorable ring bearer and flower girl who stole everyone’s hearts.
Capturing the Love in Every Drop
Although there were a few light sprinkles before the ceremony, the rain passed quickly and only added to the intimate, cozy feel of the day. The lush greenery of the Smokies glistened, and Star Noir Studio captured every detail—gentle smiles, joyful tears, and all the little moments in between.
After the ceremony, the couple explored our forest paths and dreamy photo spots near the chapel for portraits that felt soft, natural, and full of connection. It was one of those afternoons where everything just fell into place.
From the Groom:
We met online. The first date was amazing. I drove up to see her, and we went to the Woodfire Oven. I proposed by a fire. We decided on East Tennessee because we were looking for a little chapel and came across this one. We are just looking forward to getting married.
