25th Wedding Anniversary

Kim and Jason joined us today for a vow renewal for their 25th wedding anniversary. They dressed the chapel in seafoam and champagne with the sunflower florals, and they looked so cute!! I asked Kim what their secret is, and she said to always be truthful even when it hurts. Great advice!! They came to us all the way from Louisiana after seeing some video from a previous Louisiana bride’s wedding, and we are so glad they found us! Congratulations, Kim and Jason!!

From the Bride:

We went to school together but never knew each other. Years later, we met in a little bar in our home town. We both had previous marriages but became best friends throughout the first year of meeting. Our first date was at Burger King lol…he wanted to take me out to a nice place but I’m a simple kinda woman and just being with him was enough for me. It was just perfect.

He actually proposed 3 times, lol. Once was with a key chain loop, then with a plastic little play ring, and then the 3rd time was with a ring he had made with my Grandmothers Diamond I had received from her out of her necklace she had given me when I was younger. It was simple and perfect. He knelt down on one knee and looked me in the eyes and just simply asked again. Of course, I said yes all 3 times. Just a couple of months after that, we went to our town judge’s home, and he married us in his office.

We have been to Tennessee 3 times, and we love the mountains and the scenery. The first time we went, we said it would be a beautiful place to bring our family to and renew our vows, but I’m a lil ocd and didn’t want 2 different wedding dates so it didn’t happen. Now, we will be married 25 yrs and I said I wanted to renew our vows on a special year and have everything we couldn’t have before.

I’m most looking forward to re-marrying my soulmate, best friend ,provider, my rock, my amazing husband all over again and continuing our lives together. Oh, and a beautiful day, lol. For fun, we love to travel, hang out with our kids and grandbabies, movies, date night, and just being with each other.
