The Petite Wedding at Chapel in the Hollow is a simple 30-minute Smoky Mountain wedding for up to 10 guests, designed for couples who want something more than our couple-only Make It Legal Wedding but don’t need the flexibility or extra time of our Signature Micro Weddings.
You’ll get married at our intimate forest chapel surrounded by the East Tennessee woods with a classic cream-and-white chapel setup already waiting for you.
No decorating.
No complicated timeline.
No coordinating a team of vendors.
Just bring your marriage license, arrive dressed and ready, gather your favorite people, and get married.

What Is a Petite Wedding?
Our Petite Wedding is a 30-minute wedding experience at Chapel in the Hollow for couples with up to 10 guests.
It’s our answer for couples who tell us:
“We want a real wedding… we just don’t need a whole lot of wedding.”
Your Petite Wedding includes:
- 30 minutes at Chapel in the Hollow
- Use of the chapel for your ceremony
- Up to 10 guests
- Cream fabric at the chapel

- A personalized ceremony based on the options available for this package
- Optional Chapel in the Hollow photography for an additional fee
- Photography around the chapel area when photography is added
The chapel is prepared before you arrive, so there’s no need to haul boxes of wedding decor into Tennessee or convince your mother-in-law that, no, she really doesn’t need to bring an entire artificial floral arch in the back of her SUV.

The Petite Wedding is designed for couples who want an intimate wedding in the Smoky Mountains with a few of their closest people.

Maybe you originally considered eloping but realized that there are a handful of people you’d really miss.

A small wedding doesn’t have to feel like a lesser version of a big wedding.
Sometimes stripping away all the extra stuff gives you more room to actually enjoy the reason you’re there in the first place.

How Many Guests Can We Invite?
Petite Weddings allow up to 10 guests.
That gives you enough room to include the people who matter most without turning your simple wedding into a larger event.

However you divide those spots is completely up to you.
If your guest list grows beyond 10 people, you’ll want to look at one of our Signature Micro Wedding options instead, which can accommodate up to 35 guests for the ceremony.

Your Chapel Setup: Cream Fabric + White Florals
One of the ways we keep the Petite Wedding simple is by giving it a beautiful preset chapel design.
Your ceremony space will be decorated with our:

It’s classic, romantic, neutral, and works beautifully throughout the year.
It also means you don’t have to choose from a dozen different combinations, worry about whether dusty sage works with your bouquet, or spend three hours scrolling Pinterest at midnight debating floral colors.
For our Petite Weddings, we’ve made the decision for you.
And it looks pretty darn good.
Because this is a streamlined package, Petite Weddings do not include use of our larger collection of wedding accessories or alternate chapel decor.
Couples also cannot bring in additional decor to customize the space.
If decorating the chapel to match a specific color palette or wedding aesthetic is one of your priorities, you’ll probably be happier with a Signature Micro Wedding, which gives you access to our included accessory collection and optional accessory upgrades.
Is an Officiant Included?
Yes!
Professional officiating is included with your Petite Wedding Package.
That means you don’t have to find someone to perform the ceremony or coordinate an additional wedding professional.
You’ll bring your valid Tennessee marriage license with you, we’ll perform the ceremony, and your officiant will complete the appropriate portion of the marriage license afterward.
Nice and simple.
Your ceremony itself can still feel meaningful and personal. Depending on the options available for your Petite Wedding, we’ll collect the information we need before your wedding day so we’re prepared when you arrive.
And don’t worry—we aren’t trying to fill your entire 30 minutes with ceremony.
We want time for that kiss.
And photos.
Definitely photos.
Can We Add Wedding Photography?
Absolutely.
You can add professional Chapel in the Hollow wedding photography to your Petite Wedding for an additional fee.
Petite Wedding Photography: $200
Photography takes place during your existing 30-minute reservation, so adding photography does not extend the length of your package.
Because time is limited, photographs for Petite Weddings stay around the chapel area.
We aren’t traveling around the property to multiple photo locations, and the mountain-view field is not available with this package.
Instead, we’ll focus on creating a beautiful little collection that tells the story of your wedding:
Your ceremony.
Your first kiss.
The just-married excitement.
A few family photographs.
And portraits of the two of you around our chapel and surrounding forest setting.
For couples who primarily want to document the ceremony and have some beautiful wedding portraits afterward, 30 minutes can be a perfect fit.
What If We Want Lots of Wedding Photos?
Then I’m going to lovingly steer you toward a longer wedding.
Photography takes time.
Good photography especially takes time.
If you’ve been scrolling through our real weddings and saving photos from the mossy tree, creek, vines, road, rock garden, gate, mountain-view field, and every other little corner of the property, we cannot fit all of that into a 30-minute Petite Wedding.
Physics remains terribly inconvenient.
Our Signature Micro Weddings are available in longer time blocks and give you the opportunity to visit more photo locations based on the amount of time you’ve reserved.

Do Petite Weddings Include a Grace Period?
No.
This is one of the most important differences between a Petite Wedding and our longer wedding experiences.
Petite Weddings do not include the 30-minute grace period.
Your 30-minute reservation begins at your scheduled wedding time.
Everyone should arrive fully dressed and wedding-ready.
There isn’t additional time before your reservation for:
- Getting dressed
- Hair and makeup
- Bridal suite preparation
- Decorating
- Setting up personal items
- Detail photography
- Getting-ready photos
- An extended first look
Keeping the experience this streamlined is what allows us to offer a beautiful little wedding without requiring you to book one of our larger packages.
If getting ready at Chapel in the Hollow or having those traditional wedding-day moments photographed is important to you, you’ll want a Signature Micro Wedding or Adventure Wedding instead.
Can We Bring Our Own Wedding Vendors?
No.
Outside wedding professionals are not permitted with the Petite Wedding Package.
Your officiant is included, and professional photography can be added through Chapel in the Hollow.
Outside photographers, videographers, coordinators, content creators, florists, officiants, or other wedding professionals cannot be brought in with this package.
Again, Petite Weddings are intentionally streamlined.
We aren’t trying to cram a full vendor team into half an hour.
If you’ve already hired a photographer, have an officiant you love, or want to build your own team of wedding professionals, our Signature Micro Weddings are designed to give you that flexibility.
Approved outside wedding professionals are welcome with our Signature Weddings as long as they can provide the required certificate of insurance. Officiants are exempt from the insurance requirement.
Can We Have a Cake Cutting or First Dance?
The Petite Wedding is designed primarily around your ceremony and photographs, rather than reception-style activities.
With only 30 minutes available, every extra activity takes time away from something else.

What Does a Petite Wedding Day Look Like?
One of the best parts about this package is how uncomplicated it is.
Before your wedding, we’ll collect the information we need to prepare for your ceremony.
On the wedding day, you’ll arrive completely dressed and ready.
Your chapel will already be decorated with the cream fabric and white florals.
Your guests will gather at the chapel.
We’ll get everyone into place.
Then…
You get married.
After the ceremony, if you’ve added photography, we’ll quickly move into the photographs that matter most—usually beginning with family photos while everyone is already together and then focusing on the two of you around the chapel.
And when your 30 minutes are finished?
You’re free to head off and celebrate however you’d like.
Dinner in Gatlinburg?
Absolutely.
A cabin with a mountain view?
