Small Smoky Mountain Wedding – Kimberly and Blake

Small Smoky Mountain Wedding

Kimberly and Blake – July 30, 2024

Kimberly and Blake’s small Smoky Mountain wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a charming celebration of love, embraced by the natural beauty of their surroundings. They adorned the chapel in lovely dusty blue and peach fabrics, beautifully complemented by our vibrant wildflower florals, creating a picturesque setting for their special day.
Kimberly looked absolutely enchanting in a tea-length filmy white dress embellished with pearls, adding a touch of vintage glamour. Her look was completed with a cute soft white bow in her hair, giving her a whimsical bridal appearance. Her mom, twin sister, and best friend were by her side, helping her get ready and sharing in the joy and excitement of the morning.
Blake looked dapper in navy dress pants paired with brown leather suspenders and a white dress shirt, perfectly matching the rustic and cheerful vibe of the wedding. As Kimberly walked down the aisle, accompanied by her dad, Blake’s expression was priceless—a mixture of awe and happiness at the sight of his bride approaching.
Their ceremony was filled with joy and a touch of whimsy, thanks to the bubble guy and gal who filled the air with bubbles, adding a magical touch to their already enchanting setting. The cool but steamy July morning added to the atmosphere, making their outdoor ceremony uniquely memorable.
As locals from Knoxville and with Blake’s background in the army, the day was deeply rooted in personal significance and community spirit. Their families and friends radiated excitement and pride, clearly thrilled to witness Kimberly and Blake’s union.
Congratulations, Kimberly and Blake! Your wedding beautifully reflected the love you share and the community that supports you. Here’s to many years of happiness and love-filled adventures ahead!
From the Bride
I worked at Bruster’s all throughout high school since my mother was the manager of the store. My twin sister Stephanie was actually good friends with Blake and after he got back from military job training Steph suggested a job at Bruster’s. All of my friends knew Blake before I ended up actually meeting him when we worked a morning shift together. For our first date Blake picked me up from my house. We picked up food from Cookout and drove us to Red Ash to go stargazing. We got to spend hours talking to each other about what we wanted in a relationship and our futures, etc. Blake asked me to be his girlfriend and I forgot to answer until he asked me “are we actually dating??” on the drive home.
Blake planned a beach trip with our friends in July 2023. He planned a proposal for our 5-year anniversary. Even though it didn’t turn out as planned Blake proposed on the balcony at the Airbnb and I began to cry and forgot to answer once again until Blake asked me “Is that a yes??”.
We decided to get married in East Tennessee because Blake and I live here. We love the mountains. On our wedding day I am looking forward to spending the day with our loved ones and beginning our future together as the Jackson’s. We picked this date because this is the date we officially started dating, got engaged, and now married on our 6-year anniversary.
We love to watch TV shows together and go on mini one day road trips. We also enjoy spending time with our dog, Milo, and cat, Roo.

Misty July Micro Wedding – Kiley and Tyler

Misty July Micro Wedding

Kiley and Tyler – July 25, 2024

Kiley and Tyler’s misty July micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was nothing short of magical, enveloped in a serene ambiance perfect for their intimate celebration. They styled the chapel beautifully in champagne and hunter green fabrics, accented with our elegant succulent florals, creating a lush, romantic setting.
Kiley looked stunning in a soft lace dress with cap sleeves and a short train, exuding grace and elegance. Tyler complemented her perfectly, wearing tan dress pants, a green dress shirt, and a tan vest, blending seamlessly with the day’s color palette.
The ceremony was a heartfelt family affair. Kiley’s mom assisted her in getting ready, adding to the day’s emotion and significance. Her two sons proudly walked her down the aisle, and her dad joyfully took on the unique role of ring bearer, adding a personal touch to their special day.
Fortunately, the weather cooperated beautifully; it didn’t rain, but the misty conditions provided moody and gorgeous lighting that made their wedding photos absolutely stunning.
Congratulations, Kiley and Tyler! Your wedding was a perfect blend of natural beauty and family love. May your life together continue to be as beautiful and heartfelt as your wedding day.
From the Bride:
We met on Match.com. The first date was quiet. I think Tyler said about 3 words. Tyler proposed with the ring on the straw of a sweet tea. We chose East Tennessee for our misty July micro wedding because we didn’t want the headache of planning a wedding at home so we decided to have a destination wedding with our close, immediate families. We are most excited about enjoying the day with our families. Kiley has 2 sons (Troy and Cole) and together we have a daughter (Skyler). We have 12 chickens that Tyler never wanted but takes care of with minimal complaining.

Free Spirited Elopement – Jennifer and Jared

Free Spirited Elopement

Jennifer and Jared – July 23, 2024

Jennifer and Jared, along with their three kids, journeyed from Texas to celebrate their free-spirited elopement at Chapel in the Hollow, surrounded by the natural beauty of East Tennessee. They chose a serene decor of white and cream fabric, beautifully accented with our dusty blue and yellow florals, creating a backdrop that was both inviting and picturesque.
Jennifer was absolutely radiant in a unique two-piece dress adorned with daisies, paired with a handmade veil featuring long beaded strands with feathers at the top and intricate macrame at the bottom. Her daughter added a personal touch by curling her hair, enhancing her bohemian bridal look. Jared kept it casual and stylish in jeans and a white dress shirt, perfectly suited for their laid-back ceremony.
Before the ceremony, in a deeply personal moment, Jennifer and Jared stood back to back at the chapel’s archway to read their private vows. This intimate exchange set the tone for the day, filled with love and personal meaning. They then turned around for their emotional first look, a beautiful start to their new beginning together.
Their three children played a special role, walking down the aisle ahead of Jennifer, who gracefully walked by herself. The youngest daughter scattered white flower petals, creating a fairy-tale path, while instrumental music softly played, adding to the enchanting atmosphere.
Congratulations, Jennifer and Jared! Your elopement was a beautiful testament to your love and family, capturing the essence of your free-spirited hearts. Wishing you all a lifetime of love and adventure as vibrant as your special day!
From the Bride
Good neighbors are hard to find, and that’s where we started. Neighbors who turn into lifelong loves are an even more rare find. We were both package deals. He came with 1 son and I with 2 daughters.
After typing it out and erasing it more times than I’d like to admit, I finally hit send asking him if he wanted to throw axes and have dinner…he said “yeah I’d like that” so we did. That was 3 years ago to the date!!!  On Christmas 2022 he gave me a promise ring. Christmas 2023 surrounded by our 3 beautiful children he got down on one knee and made good on that promise.
We picked East Tennessee because we were coming out on vacation and thought let’s elope in the mountains. Everything just lined up so perfectly, and Chapel in the Hollow had availability on the date which happened to be exactly 3 years from our first date!!! Must’ve been meant to be! On our wedding day, I am looking forward to the intimacy of it being just us and our children.
Our interests vary because he’s a country boy and I’m a hippy chick!! He lets me tag along fishing and takes me hunting (even though I won’t shoot a thing). I take him through art galleries, museums, and plant swaps with little to no fussing. Our daily life consists of spending time together with all the kids and is our personal paradise!

East Tennessee Summer Elopement – Shelby and Roy

East Tennessee Summer Elopement

Shelby and Roy – July 23, 2024

Shelby and Roy’s East Tennessee summer elopement at Chapel in the Hollow was a picture-perfect celebration of their love, set against the lush backdrop of the forest. The chapel was beautifully adorned with white fabric and our bohemian florals, creating a whimsical and romantic setting for their intimate ceremony.
Shelby looked absolutely stunning in an off-the-shoulder, form-fitting dress with flowy sleeves, complemented by her hair elegantly styled in an updo. Roy was the epitome of style in a classic grey suit, matching the refined and serene atmosphere of their special day.
Their two children took part in the ceremony, walking down the aisle, adding a sweet and personal touch to the proceedings. A few close family members were present, making the day even more special with their love and support. Shelby’s uncle had the honor of walking her down the aisle, a meaningful moment cherished by everyone.
Shelby and Roy’s elopement was not just a union of their hearts but a beautiful celebration of family and new beginnings. Congratulations, Shelby and Roy! May your journey together be as beautiful and filled with love as your wedding day.
From the Bride

It all started one ordinary night when I was scrolling through Snapchat stories. Suddenly, a friend’s story caught my eye. It was a fun night out, full of laughter and good vibes, but what really stood out was a little note at the bottom: “Follow @Roysmith107 on Instagram!”

Curiosity got the better of me. Who was this “Roysmith107”? I decided to find out. A quick search on Instagram later, I found his profile. His pictures were filled with adventures, genuine smiles, and a sense of fun that was infectious. Without overthinking it, I hit the “follow” button.

To my surprise, not long after, I received a message from Roy. “Hey” & it all started from there… His message was friendly and casual, making it easy to respond.

We started chatting, sharing stories and laughing over our mutual interests. It felt like we had known each other for years. What began as a spontaneous follow turned into long conversations and eventually, we decided to meet in person.

When we finally met, it was as if the virtual connection seamlessly transitioned into real life. Our first date was filled with the same laughter and joy as our chats, and we knew this was the start of something special.

And that’s how a simple Instagram follow, prompted by a friend’s Snapchat story, led to us meeting and discovering a wonderful connection.

Roy and I had our first date at the Desloge fair, a place buzzing with excitement and joy. When he walked up to me, smiling ear to ear, I knew we were in for a wonderful evening. We spent the night going on rides, laughing together, and enjoying the festive atmosphere. The thrill of the rides and the shared laughter made it a night to remember, marking the beginning of something truly special between us.

He proposed while we were at the park a few days before my birthday September 23, 2020.

Roy and I have chosen East Tennessee as the perfect location for our wedding for several reasons close to our hearts. Its picturesque landscapes offer a serene backdrop that resonates with our love for nature and adventure. The secluded charm of the Smoky Mountains provides a sense of intimacy and privacy, allowing us to celebrate our special day in a quiet, meaningful way. This choice reflects our desire for a romantic and memorable wedding experience that symbolizes our journey and future together.

On our wedding day, Roy and I are looking forward to intimate moments of genuine joy and connection with our two children. We cherish the idea of a day filled with warmth and laughter, where every detail reflects our personalities and love story. We hope to create lasting memories surrounded by the natural beauty of East Tennessee, where we can celebrate our commitment to each other in a setting that feels both intimate and breathtaking. Above all, we envision a day where love and happiness overflow, marking the beginning of our journey together with deep meaning and shared excitement for the future as a family. I chose this date because we also got engaged on the 23rd of September.

Roy and I love spending time outdoors with our children, exploring nature trails. We love going to our local Mexican restaurants. We often enjoy family time playing in the backyard. Our weekends are often filled with laughter and adventure, where we either go to Shelby’s hometown in Piedmont Mo & stay with her grandma, or we go to our local rivers to swim. We are all about family.
