Stress Free Winter Wedding

Ellyn and Jared – December 14, 2024

Ellyn and Jared celebrated their love with a beautiful, stress-free winter wedding at Chapel in the Hollow, and it was pure perfection!  They dressed the chapel in cream and navy fabric, accented with our elegant white florals, creating a classic and timeless look.
Ellyn looked radiant in her maxi-style white dress with charming bell sleeves and a medium-length veil that added a touch of vintage flair.  Jared looked dapper in a navy suit that perfectly matched the day’s theme.
Her dad had the honor of walking her down the aisle, and you could feel the excitement from their parents and siblings as they witnessed this special moment.  After the ceremony, Ellyn and Jared shared a magical bubble exit that added a playful and joyful touch to their chilly December celebration.
The crisp winter air made for a beautiful outdoor wedding filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Congratulations, Ellyn and Jared! Your relaxed and intimate wedding was a joy to be part of, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness.
From the Bride
We met via a mutual friend but turns out we went to high school together! Didn’t realize that until the blind date. Our first date was very chill! We met at a restaurant and ate outside.
He proposed! It was Christmas Eve 2023, and we were at home. I was in the bedroom, and our dog ran back with something attached to her collar. He was close behind and got down on one knee. Of course, I said yes!
We decided to get married at Chapel in the Hollow because we both wanted something simple, cost efficient, and surrounded by nature. On our wedding day, I am looking forward to marrying my person, hearing Mr and Mrs Jenkins, and my Dad walking me down the aisle.
For fun, we enjoy doing home projects, being outdoors, love candles! Typical date night is ordering dinner and watching something. We’re homebodies!

Dark Winter Wedding – Shaylee and Nic

Dark Winter Wedding

Shaylee and Nic – December 14, 2024

Shaylee and Nic embraced the beauty of the season with their dark winter wedding at Chapel in the Hollow, and it was absolutely stunning!  They dressed the chapel in black fabric with our moody florals and winter tree package, creating a dramatic and romantic atmosphere.
Shaylee looked breathtaking in her off-the-shoulder dress with a lacy top and flowy train, paired perfectly with a medium-length veil.  Her nails were a bold and edgy white with black flame outlines—so unique!  Nic kept it chic and timeless in all black, accented by simple black plugs in his ears.
Their families and their sweet young son joined them for this special day.  Nic teared up as Shaylee walked down the aisle—such a heartfelt moment!  Their rings were as distinctive as they are: his was black with a copper side, and hers was white gold with a single diamond.  They used a glass box with moss as their ring box, adding a touch of whimsy and elegance.
The couple added personal touches, like a cake that read ‘Til Death and a cute “We Eloped” sign with their wedding date, making the day uniquely theirs.  After the ceremony, we captured their love at the mossy tree, the highland area, and the field with the stunning mountain backdrop.
Congratulations, Shaylee and Nic! Your wedding was a perfect blend of drama, elegance, and heartfelt love. We were honored to be part of your special day.
From the Bride
We met on Tinder… LOL we went to the same college around the same time a couple years prior though! We just hung out at his house – very chill, very us! He proposed, in our kitchen, at like 2am (he worked 2nd shift at the time) because my ring had come in the mail the day before and he said he was too excited to wait lol he woke me up.. so my hair was a mess, in pjs, eye crusties from sleep, a real magical moment.
We decided to get married in East Tennessee because of the mountains and woods… I wanted a moody “Twilight” moment that wasn’t too far of a drive for our family! We’re from Indiana. On our wedding day I am most looking forward to marrying my love and celebrating with our family.. and let’s be real, the photos are going to be pinterest worthy! The was not really a significance to the date we are just hoping for some gloomy weather to make my Twilight dreams come true!
We recently (well I recently, because I got my bike this summer) started riding motorcycles together! We ride just the two of us or ride with friends. It’s so much fun! We also have a 3yo son together, so we like taking him exploring and hanging out as a family!

Casual Winter Forest Wedding – Kim and Daniel

Casual Winter Forest Wedding

Kim and Daniel – December 8, 2024

Kim and Daniel chose Chapel in the Hollow for their relaxed and easygoing winter forest wedding, and it was as charming as it was heartfelt!  They decorated the chapel in warm gold and rust fabric, accented with our lavender florals—a perfect mix of rustic and romantic.
Kim looked lovely in her short-sleeved white dress with a lace overlay, paired with a classic pearl necklace, lace socks, and white shoes—simple and sweet!  Daniel kept it casual and true to his style in jeans, a Wrangler dress shirt, and a cap.
They made sure to include special touches to honor lost loved ones. A photo of Kim’s brother and Daniel’s parents was displayed so they could still be part of the celebration in spirit.
After a sweet ceremony surrounded by their families, we took them on a fun photo tour!  From the Christmas-decorated truck to the road, the highland area, and the creek, every backdrop added a touch of East Tennessee magic to their special day.
Congratulations, Kim and Daniel! Your casual December wedding was filled with love and meaningful moments, and we were so happy to be part of it.
From the Bride
We met on the Facebook dating app. On our first date we went to a Mexican restaurant and then we took his truck to a local park and talked for a couple of hours. I said said a few weeks earlier that I wanted to marry him. Daniel said one day we have a plan. I had a ring picked out that the Daniel bought. Daniel said look in the corner and when I turned around Daniel was down on one knee and proposed.
We love Pigeon Forge. We had the plan to get married once we bought a home in Tennessee, but that plan did not go as expected. We have both have been married before and did not want a big wedding. We had a vacation planned during this time and decided to “elope” with the my parents and Daniel’s sister and her husband in a casual winter forest wedding.
On our wedding day we are looking forward to marrying our best friend and the love of our lives. We picked this date because it was in the vacation time frame and worked for everyone’s schedule.
Daniel likes to deer hunt and I like puzzles. We just enjoy living together with our 5 fur babies.

Rustic Elegant Micro Wedding – Peggy and Derek

Rustic Elegant Micro Wedding

Peggy and Derek – December 7, 2024

Peggy and Derek brought their friends and family all the way from Louisiana to celebrate their rustic elegant micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow, and it was nothing short of magical!  The chapel was draped in white fabric with our white succulent florals, perfectly complemented by our winter tree package, complete with mini trees, candles, and lanterns.
Peggy looked absolutely stunning in her white strapless dress with a low back, paired with a long shoulder cape that gave off timeless Dior and Chanel vibes—so chic and sophisticated!  Derek kept it classic and sharp in a navy suit, the perfect match for his beautiful bride.
Their daughters helped Peggy get ready and looked fabulous in hunter green dresses paired with white faux fur stoles—such a cozy yet elegant touch!  Their sons were dapper in navy suits, rounding out the stylish wedding party.
The ceremony was an extra-special family affair, with Peggy’s cousin’s husband officiating, and her eldest brother and eldest son walking her down the aisle.  Derek’s face lit up with joy when he saw her—it was such a sweet and emotional moment.
After a short and heartfelt ceremony, the focus shifted to family. They captured tons of family photos, making sure to include their adorable dog, who was clearly an important part of the day!
The chilly weather gave the day a crisp, beautiful light that made every moment feel like it was glowing.  Congratulations, Peggy and Derek! Your day was filled with love, elegance, and family, and we were honored to be a part of it.

East Tennessee Handfasting – Michael and Claire

East Tennessee Handfasting

Michael and Claire – December 7, 2024

Claire and Michael chose Chapel in the Hollow for their East Tennessee handfasting, and it was such a heartfelt and beautiful celebration!  They decorated the chapel with blush and black fabric, paired perfectly with our blush and bashful florals, creating a striking and romantic vibe.
Claire looked absolutely stunning in her long-sleeved black dress with nude undertones and chic black heels—such an elegant and bold choice!  Michael complemented her beautifully in a grey suit with a pink tie, and his Viking braid added a unique touch to his look.
Her son had the honor of walking her down the aisle, and their adorable daughter made the sweetest flower girl.  With the help of friends and family, everything came together seamlessly—they even pitched in to help set up and keep things flowing smoothly.  Claire walked in to the heartfelt tune of We Are Man and Wife by Michelle Featherstone, and Michael’s excitement was written all over his face.
In addition to traditional vows, they incorporated a meaningful handfasting ceremony with a memory cord they created. The cord was adorned with charms representing loved ones they’ve lost, making it a truly special and emotional moment.
After the ceremony, we captured family photos at the chapel, then ventured to the mossy tree, the road, and the field with the stunning mountain view.  The chilly weather gave us the perfect lighting to capture their love story.
Congratulations, Claire and Michael! Your wedding was as unique and beautiful as your love story, and we were honored to be part of your day.
From the Bride
We were both servers at Olive Garden. He tried to flirt and I was mean until he bought me food and I was hooked. On our first date we went hiking to the Walls of Jericho in Scottsboro Al.
Michael proposed. He is incredibly bad at hiding things or keeping secrets so as soon as he decided he wanted to propose he couldn’t wait and proposed using a jimmy johns bag. I reached in to grab our dinner and found a ring box.
We have visited the mountains together several times and love the aesthetic and mountain beauty and decided East Tennessee was the perfect place to get married. After 6 years and two kids and a pandemic… on our wedding day we are most looking forward to finally getting married!
We have a chaotic life with work, school, and kids. When we have a break from the chaos we enjoy movie nights, going to shows, and taking vacations.
