Winter Elopement in the Forest – Shelley and Mark

Winter Elopement in the Forest

Shelley and Mark – February 17, 2024

In the serene embrace of the nature, Shelley and Mark celebrated their love with an intimate winter elopement in the forest at Chapel in the Hollow. The chapel, adorned in white fabric, set the stage for a ceremony as pure and beautiful as their love
Shelley was a vision in her dress, featuring a see-through corset-style top and a simple, elegant skirt. She crafted a stunning bouquet for the occasion, a unique blend of feathers, pearls, and white flowers that mirrored her beauty and creativity.  Mark looked dapper in his classic black suit, embodying the timeless elegance of the day.
A deeply moving moment unfolded as Shelley’s brother walked her down the aisle, her tears a testament to the emotion and significance of the day. Mark, too, was moved to tears at the sight of his bride approaching, a powerful expression of their deep connection.
Following the ceremony, they flowed seamlessly into their first dance, a tender and joyful celebration of their union.  The day was made even more memorable with a moonshine toast featuring watermelon moonshine, adding a fun and uniquely personal touch to their celebration.
Their naked cake, adorned with matching florals, was not just a dessert but a symbol of their refined taste and the beauty of their love, shared with those closest to them.
Shelley and Mark’s winter elopement was a perfect blend of elegance, emotion, and personal touches that made their day truly special. As they danced under the canopy of the winter forest, they started a new chapter in their lives, filled with love, laughter, and the promise of countless adventures ahead.
Here’s to Shelley and Mark — may your love continue to blossom and warm the coldest of days. Congratulations on your beautiful beginning.
From the Bride:
We maintained a long distance relationship. He lived in South Carolina and I was in Texas. We traveled back and forth for approx a year and had many calls to each other during the day as well as facetime. We both knew from the beginning that we had found our person even though neither of us were looking.
The first date was amazing, we met up in Pigeon Forge, TN as I had never seen the Smoky Mountains. We spent our time sight seeing and enjoying local activities.
He proposed.
I had gone to visit him in South Carolina and we had planned to go see the Pretty Place Chapel because was on of the things on my bucket list. He wanted to make sure I got to see it while I was there. We made our way there and I was taking in all of the sights and beauty around us and he said, “do you want to see if we can get someone to take our picture together”?. So he found a girl to take our picture and then he told her, “can you take one more picture to be sure you got it”, and I turned to look at him and he was down on one knee in front of the large cross. I was speechless and so overcome with emotion. We talked all of the time about getting married one day, but he completely surprised me, as I had no idea he had planned this.
Tennessee is special to us as that’s where our journey really began.
I am most looking forward to seeing his reaction to seeing me in my dress.
