Bri and Glenn – June 12, 2023
A Magical and Stress-Free Elopement in the Spring!
We are overjoyed to have celebrated the stress-free elopement of Bri and Glenn as they embarked on their journey of love and commitment. Surrounded by their parents and Bri’s daughter, they created a cherished memory that will last a lifetime.
Bri and Glenn infused their personal style into the chapel, draping it with exquisite sand and white fabric adorned with our beautiful white florals. The combination of elegance and simplicity set the perfect tone for their special day. Bri looked absolutely radiant in her lacy, long-sleeved dress, showcasing timeless beauty. Glenn looked dashing in a crisp white shirt paired with khakis, reflecting their relaxed and joyful spirit. Together, they made a stunning couple.
Their invitation, perfectly coordinated with their chosen colors, set the stage for their enchanting day. It was evident that every detail was carefully curated to reflect their unique personalities and love story. Speaking of unique, Bri, being a talented cake baker, decided to surprise everyone by deviating from the traditional wedding cake and opting for a delightful doughnut cake — perfect blend of her creativity and love for delicious treats!
Bri’s love for fantasy books and their shared passion for gaming added an extra touch of magic to their celebration. It’s wonderful to see couples embracing their interests and incorporating them into their special day, making it truly authentic and memorable.
Set against the backdrop of a vibrant spring season, their outdoor wedding radiated with the beauty of nature. The blooming flowers and gentle breeze added an ethereal touch, creating a dreamlike ambiance. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
We are honored to have been part of Bri and Glenn’s stress-free elopement, witnessing the beginning of their lifelong adventure. May their love continue to grow, intertwining their lives in happiness and joy. Cheers to a future filled with magical moments and shared dreams!
From the Bride:
We met online through a dating website on the day I (Bri) was going to delete my account. It was early 2016 and I was sick of online dating. I was about to throw in the towel when Glenn messaged me. He had no profile picture nor any information about himself, and on any other day I would have deleted his message IMMEDIATELY and moved on… but for some reason, I messaged him back. Messaging led to texting, texting led to phone calls, phone calls led to Skype, and before we knew it, we were making plans to meet in person. We count our first date as the day we finally met in person- May 27, 2016. After several months of talking and video-chatting daily, Glenn took a plane from his home in Alabama to where I lived in Upstate NY. From then on, we took trips to see each other every couple of months, and in 2018 I moved myself and my daughter down to Alabama to live with Glenn.
Glenn proposed on February 11, 2022, in the kitchen of our home. Alaina (my daughter) was at a ‘kid’s night out’ event at her school and Glenn and I were having an early, at-home Valentine’s Day date. I cooked us steak, shrimp and mac n’ cheese. I knew he was going to propose that night and FINALLY after dinner, dessert, AND cleaning up, he did.
One of our first weekend getaways together was to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. We fell in love with the mountains and the atmosphere. I’m from the Adirondacks in NY, so the Smoky Mountains really make me feel like I’m back home, in a way. So we decided on an East Tennessee elopement! We’re looking forward to finally saying our ‘I Do’s’ and sharing a name. We’ve been together for 7 years and have talked about getting married for at least 5 of those years… we’re happy to finally just do it! And also, for me- getting gussied up! I’ve never had my hair or makeup done professionally and I’m excited!
We are just a couple of video game nerds who spend most of our free time at home on our computers. We love going to concerts, comedy shows and arcades. We are, at the core of our relationship, best friends who balance each other perfectly.
