Melissa and Lena’s spooky LGBTQ wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was an unforgettable celebration filled with unique charm and a dash of eerie fun! They transformed our chapel with a striking combination of navy and purple fabric, a first for us, perfectly complemented by our moody florals and the romantic glow from our candle and lantern package.
Melissa looked enchanting in a long sleeve dress with a delicate lace top and a flowing tulle bottom, while Lena rocked a smart navy vest and pants, paired with a cute purple and white patterned top. They both sported Converse shoes, Melissa in navy and Lena in maroon, adding a personal and playful touch to their outfits.
These two brought some of the best details to their day, including the“Handbook for the Recently Deceased” and a charming skeleton statuette, adding a whimsical yet spooky element to their decor. Their creative flair was showcased with a sign saying‘Til We Are Ghosts, Darling,’ set on the steps for the ceremony, setting the tone for their commitment to each other beyond this life.
While Melissa was a bit nervous for the ceremony, the joy and love they shared helped them relax for some truly memorable pictures afterward. The fun didn’t stop there; they brought along a Michael Myers mask, which Ian donned for a bit of creepy fun, followed by Lena wearing it for some affectionate, masked kisses, adding a unique twist to their photo session.
Congratulations, Melissa and Lena! Your elopement was not only a celebration of your love but also a perfect expression of your unique personalities. Here’s to many years of happiness, love, and spooky fun together!
From the Bride
Our career paths on our journeys brought us together. Our partnership later on turned into a desire for a lifetime commitment to one another as we found each other to be our twin flame. Our first date was filled with laughter and a genuine interest in each other’s lives to only discover that there would be many more date nights and adventures to be had. Why have butterflies, when we felt the entire zoo!
Who proposed? Wait.. we skipped this part. There was no on bended knee moment, just an empathic feeling that we could only to be each other’s last love. With a multitude of similarities and desires, we wanted a magical yet bohemian woodsy wedding scene that led us to Chapel in Hollow for our spooky LGBTQ wedding.
On our wedding day, we will become one for eternity even when we are ghosts.”Death can not stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while” -Westley
