Hannah and Cory’s wedding at Chapel in the Hollow captured all of that perfectly.
Their spring wedding day was romantic, relaxed, emotional, and full of those little moments that make intimate weddings feel so special. From the blush and sage details to the blooming wildflowers scattered across the mountainside, everything about their celebration felt effortless and genuine. 💍✨
A Romantic Smoky Mountain Wedding Setting
For their ceremony décor, Hannah and Cory chose blush and dusty sage fabric paired with our candle and lantern package, creating the dreamiest soft southern atmosphere beneath the trees. 🌿🕯️
The flicker of candlelight against the natural forest backdrop added such a warm glow to the chapel, especially with the fresh spring greenery surrounding everything.
Hannah also brought beautiful florals from The Flower Cottage back home in West Virginia, which added an extra personal touch to the day. The bouquets featured pampas grass, creamy neutrals, and soft romantic textures that blended perfectly with the Smoky Mountain setting.

She wore a sleeveless gown from Grace Loves Lace featuring a high slit and delicate lace train that flowed beautifully through the woods during portraits. Her medium-length veil added softness and romance, while her elegant updo perfectly completed the look.
There’s something about spring weddings in East Tennessee that pairs so beautifully with effortless bridal styling. Nothing felt overly formal or stiff. Instead, Hannah looked radiant, relaxed, and completely herself.
And honestly? Her sweet southern drawl made the whole day even more charming. 🥹
Southern Charm for the Groom
Cory brought the perfect amount of country charm to the wedding day.
He wore jeans, a dark dress shirt, and a vest paired with a black cowboy hat — a look that felt polished while still staying true to his personality and the laid-back atmosphere of the day.
One of our favorite things about micro weddings at Chapel in the Hollow is how couples feel free to fully be themselves. There’s no pressure to follow traditions that don’t fit. Couples can create a wedding day that reflects who they actually are, and Hannah and Cory did exactly that.
And throughout the entire afternoon, Cory couldn’t stop smiling at Hannah.
You could tell how genuinely excited he was to be marrying her.

Her father had the honor of walking her down the aisle, and their two girls and two boys stood alongside them during the ceremony, making the entire celebration feel deeply meaningful and connected. 💛

And honestly? Spring absolutely showed off for them that day.
The wildflowers blooming throughout the field created the prettiest pops of color, while the soft afternoon light wrapped everything in this warm, glowy haze that photographers dream about. 🌼🌄
The creek added a peaceful woodland feel to the portraits, while the mountain-view field gave them those iconic Smoky Mountain wedding photos that feel straight out of a movie.
Everywhere we went, these two were laughing together and soaking in every second of being newly married.

From the Bride:
Cory and I went to highschool together. But we didn’t really talk or see each other much. We had different classes. But one time I turned around in chemistry class in the 10th grade to hand him a paper. He didn’t normally sit there. My eyes locked with his and I thought this is the most beautiful boy I’d ever seen. Time stood still. I remembered that moment my whole life. His sister started working for me as a nurse a few years back and I told her that story. We would both end up divorced and once I was single, his sister encouraged us to give it a try. Stated that we were so similar….on the inside….LOL we wouldn’t seem like we would go together. He is a contractor and basically a redneck lol and I’m a nurse practitioner and he calls me “princess” if that gives you any insight. But we both love to laugh and make jokes. And we are both very loyal and dutiful. I did not believe in Love before Cory. But he is definitely my soulmate. We’ve been through a lot of hardship before each other. So we cherish each other. I have 3 kids and he has 1. They all love each other.
The first date was Valentine’s Day last year. We had talked on the phone everyday for hours a couple weeks before it. But he picked me up, picked up takeout and went to his house. I asked to not go out in public yet (small town divorce). But I got to his house and still had an entire panic attack. Couldn’t breathe. Hands numb. All the things. And he was as loving and gentle with me as possible. Once he got back home he called me to ask if I was alright. I told him yes but I’d completely understand if he never wanted to see me again. That I’d tell his sister it was my fault. He said “let me think about it a minute….nah I’m Good Darlin”.
He proposed! He gave me a ring in my room one evening. And it was sweet and perfect. But we already had the wedding planned haha so I was basically like tick tick
I didn’t want to have a large wedding at home. Originally looked to elope just us two but decided to bring my family.
I lived in dandridge on Douglas lake for a couple years. And my parents still have a house there so we are familiar with the area. Holds a special place.
I’m most looking forward to the pictures!!!! We’ve never had any done of us or our kids together.
We like to ride our side by side all through the mountains of southern WV. Cory loves nothing more than to sink me in a mud hole. He likes to golf. And I like to sit in the cart. And swinging on a porch swing together or sitting around the fire pit.
