Smokey Mountain Micro Wedding
Jackie and Brian – October 4, 2023
Jackie and Brian’s Smokey Mountain micro wedding at Chapel in the Hollow was a celebration of love, family, and 15 years of cherished memories. It was a day filled with beauty, joy, and heartfelt moments that will be treasured forever.
The chapel was adorned with cream fabric, a canvas of pure elegance, and embellished with our enchanting white florals, lanterns, and a warm candle package that set the perfect mood. Jackie looked absolutely radiant in her sleeveless lace dress, exuding a timeless grace. Brian was dapper in jeans, a crisp white dress shirt, and a stylish dark grey striped vest—a perfect complement to the rustic charm of the Smoky Mountains.
Jackie’s bouquet was a marvelous live creation by the talented Melissa Timm Designs, a stunning testament to the beauty of nature’s bounty. Her attention to detail was evident in the pretty flat lay elements she brought to make their day even more special.
Before the ceremony, Jackie and her father shared a touching first look in the bridal suite, a beautiful moment that added an extra layer of emotion to the day. Their bridal party consisted of their two beloved children and two dear friends.
Today, on their 15th anniversary, Jackie and Brian embarked on a new chapter of their love story, surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Smoky Mountains. It was an honor to be part of their special day, capturing moments of pure love and connection. Brian rented a red corvette as a little something special for them to drive off in after their ceremony.
Here’s to Jackie and Brian, whose journey together continues to be filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. May the next 15 years be just as beautiful as the first.
From the Bride:
We met 15 years ago in a bar one night, each of us out with friends. Brian asked me how my night was randomly and we started talking and as I was newer to the area he told me he was taking me to a popular restaurant for our first date – which I thought presumptuous of him… but he did, and we’ve been together since. For our first date, he took me to JMK Nippon, a popular Japanese hibachi restaurant here.
Brian proposed last year – he took me to a state park with our kids for a “walk” – I was getting mad at him because I had to go to a dentist appointment and when I looked over he was down on his knee with the ring – definitely wasn’t expecting it – but it was cool that our kids were there and filmed it!
We took a trip many years ago to ride the dragons tail and I’ve been obsessed with the idea of living there ever since. It’s so beautiful and the nature is so calming – I knew if we ever got married it had to be there in the mountains. So we decided to get married in East Tennessee. We are looking forward to just having fun with our friends and family.
The date, October 4, is the day we met 🙂 So I didn’t want to change our anniversary date.
Our kids race BMX so that takes most of our free time. Brian is into cars, watching drag racing and motocross, slot cars and RC cars. I like reading, shopping, checking out area attractions like zoos and things my kids would enjoy and crafty activities. Typical date night for us would be going out to dinner, sometimes we like to try our luck on slots and we enjoy watching tv shows and movies at home together on the couch.
