Rainy October Micro Wedding – Audrey and Stan

Audrey and Stan – October 29, 2021

Rainy October Micro Wedding

Audrey and Stan joined us for our second rainy October micro wedding of the day. They dressed the chapel in champagne fabric with our white florals. Audrey was able to bring both her dad and her groom to tears during their first looks with her. She looked stunning in her satin dress with the lace overlay — very old world but modern at the same time — and the florals from Echelon Florist were gorgeous!! Congratulations, Audrey and Stan!
From the Bride:

On August 20, 2018, Stan and I started our first term Co-oping at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International. Being the anxious people we are, we were the first two people to arrive (an hour early) to orientation. In that hour we bonded over how tired we were and how annoyed we were that we had gotten up so early. We decided to stick with each other for the next three days of our orientation. After those three days, we parted ways and went to our departments but that definitely wasn’t the end of us. Stan invited me to Bible Study the next week, and we went on our first “official” date a little later on.

Fast forward 3 years, and I am so happy I get to call Stan my fiancé and future husband. The Lord has abundantly blessed our relationship this far, and I am looking forward to seeing how He uses us as we become husband & wife later this year.Stan was in Auburn all weekend and called me on his way back Sunday afternoon asking me to go to dinner. I thought it was casual, just friends until he paid for my meal. Still confused about what had happened I awkwardly Venmoed him for my portion of the bill. Now looking back, I fully recognize it was not “just friends” and that was the beginning of forever.

Stan had been taking me on really nice dates all week so I sort of had a feeling something was happening. He would just tell me the “dress code” and I would get in the car and he would drive somewhere. Well we ended up at the restaurant we went on our very first date (that we swore we would never go back to because it was such bad hibachi) and I really thought it was happening then. Each date night has had some sort of meaning to our relationship. Then the place he proposed was somewhere I just happened to find on a “stress drive” (I always loved driving around finding new places during freshman and sophomore year when I had a bad day) and I introduced the place to Stan shortly after we started dating. His whole thing was – I never want to be the reason you go on a stress drive ever again, will you marry me?
Stan and I have been making trips to the Smoky Mountains once a year since we first started dating for an event at Deal’s Gap called Miatas at the Gap. We love the mountains and how beautiful it is. It seemed like a no brainer!
I can’t wait to do first looks with my dad and Stan. I think Stan will cry, he always tries to be strong and tough but he really is a little softie.
